Backporch Vineyard

For my dad's birthday, we decided to visit Backporch Vineyard, and it turned out to be a fantastic choice! The vineyard offers a dog-friendly outdoor area, creating a welcoming and relaxed atmosphere for our little celebration. We didn't check if dogs were allowed inside, but the outdoor setting was perfect anyway.One of the highlights is that you can bring your own food, which adds a personal touch to the experience. It's great to enjoy a homemade picnic alongside their excellent wine selection.Speaking of wines, we indulged in a flight of six during our visit. The selection included a wonderful mix of whites and reds, each offering a variety of dryness levels. It was a delightful exploration of their offerings, and I appreciated the range they included.The service was outstanding, and what truly made the experience memorable was the surprise treat for my dad. Upon learning it was his birthday, the vineyard staff unexpectedly brought out a brownie just for him. This thoughtful gesture added a sweet touch to our day and made my dad feel special and appreciated.Additionally, there's a charming LOVE sign, perfect for photo opportunities. It's a beautiful spot to capture memories with loved ones, making the visit all the more special.

Great vineyard located in King George! You get to select your flight of wines off of their wine menu. They also have a selection of food that you can order. The staff here is very friendly and they also offer 10% off for teachers with a valid ID!

My daughter and I visited Backporch vineyards and we had a wonderful time! We had such a warm welcome from everyone! We will definitely be back! Thank you!

Backporch is a family-friendly, laid back winery that offers an array of styles of wine to cater to multiple tastes. I visited on their opening weekend and it was PACKED. I suspect most were locals, which is a good sign as local support will keep them going even when the tourists dry up.As a newer winery they are still getting on their feet, so they outsource the winemaking and supplement their bottles with a variety of Virginia wineries. That's understandable for their early days, but hopefully they were transition to more of their own. I'm not sure how many acres of vines they have.The biggest reason for my 4 stars is despite how busy they were, the people who worked here seemed to go above and beyond to service the crowds, who overall didn't seem to mind. Because of COVID people were very much spaced out, but it seemed like everyone was just happy to be outside and enjoy the breeze.

Just visited this newish vineyard. Their wines were great and customer service was too. We had seen their signs and have been wanting to stop by for a tasting. Finally got the chance and sorry we didn't get in there sooner. My wife and I are club members at three other vineyards and enjoy the chardonnays in the warmer days then reds for dinner and cooler days. Their options are simply wonderful! We highly encourage anyone to stop by as you are sure to find a favorite. PS We have no business affiliation with them, just really enjoyed our visit and their wines.

Visited for the first time and was not disappointed. Owners very friendly and hospitable. Found quite a few selections that were pleasantly pleasing to my liking. I will be revisiting in the near future.

If you aren't in their clique, don't expect any sort of decent service. Our daughter's wedding was the most stressful day of our lives because of their inappropriate attitude when addressing us. They even had to gall to take concerns to the bride and groom, after they'd been addressed and taken care of earlier that day. Don't expect them to give you respect for the fact you paid for your time at their venue. They even violated their own contract and cut about an hour from the wedding time.

This place was amazing - absolutely beautiful with indoor seating. Tables are spaced far apart for those that are concerned with social distancing and respectful of providing others with space. Very healthy pours for their flights with three different flight "sizes". Out of all twelve wines offered (some were from other local wineries), the Backporch Winery Rocking Chair Red was our favorite!

The wine was pretty good. Could t stay long enough to try it all because of the terrible live music. It was so bad it made my wine taste bad. Someone tell this little blonde girl that she can't carry a tune before she auditions for America's Got Talent. We literally left early because of the music.

If you are looking for a great wine look no further. Backporch Vineyard has a great selection of wines and the sunset is phenomenal. The owners are wonderful people and very helpful.
