I wove this scarf using yarn from Baa Baa Sheep in a class taken at the Hermitage. It turned out beautifully.
Thursday morning knitting!

A wonderful shop . Helpful staff and great yarn selection. High end quality , instruction available. Best was the many examples of the yarn use and a knitting circle area to share.

Yarn selection is fantastic, they have everything in this store, and plenty of parking. I read the reviews below and wanted to point out that I was in the store today for over 30 minutes, and it took some time for assistance because it is a Saturday, a small store, and they give individual attention to each customer. They are very careful about making sure you have the right yarn for your project, explaining what the fibers may do when washed, etc. Today there were many people, ages, races, genders.... all got the same individual, attentive, assistance and all left very happy - I am talking huge wide smiles - with information, yarn, and tools they needed for their project. I overheard someone asking if one hank would be enough for a project and the sales person said, 'without the pattern I cannot say, it may be best to come back with the pattern to be sure.' She also assisted a young person with accessing knitting communities online - and explained many details of knitting and community for support as a new knitter. Another asked about a yarn and the sales person said, 'come over here, I am knitting with it right now you can see how it knits...'That is how personal your experience is here - they are not trying to sell you the kitchen sink, they are careful to be sure you get what you need to be successful. Come in and be patient, this isn't JoAnns craft store, this is a community with a wealth of knowledge. I have been knitting for over 50 years and got exactly what I needed for my project - after waiting 15+ minutes for her full attention. I will be back soon.

LOVE THIS PLACE! The shop is very warm and inviting with such beautiful yarns all around. The staff was super friendly and very helpful with answering my questions. I bought a cute project bag made locally and knitting book for hat patterns. I'm very excited they carry local yarn and also freiafiber!!! I will be making this my go to store for my knitting needs

I make it a custom to visit yarn shops while on vacation. This shop was so highly rated that I chose it, instead of many others. Spent a good 15-20 minutes in this shop browsing with intent to purchase. The sales lady (white woman) didnt break away from chatting with her group (of white women) to offer me (a black woman) any assistance. As I moved about the shop to view the collections of yarn, I was never approached with an offer for assistance. Not once did the shop keeper offer to assist me. Not once did she break from leaning over a chair, showing cell phone photos to the group members. I even said "excuse me" twice to move past her... ...she never stopped her conversation, nor did she adjust her position to allow me to walk by with ease. Interestingly enough, two (white) young ladies walked in after me and were greeted and assisted immediately... ...from entrance into the store, all the way through purchase, the two young ladies were assisted by the shop keeper. I am dismayed and quite frankly saddened by the lack of customer service, blatant racism and disparaging treatment. A sign may as well have been posted so that I wouldn't have wasted my time! It's 2019!Enough already!

I am from out of town but I love this shop more than my LYS. The staff is welcoming, helpful, and very knowledgeable. The variety of samples, in terms of skill levels and different projects, are amazing and the yarn is right near the sample. But most of all I love that the knitting circle area is right up front and all are truly welcome. I have finished every project that I have purchased from baa baa sheep and loved it, which is way more than I can say for any other yarn shop.

Good yarn shop. Decent but not excellent selection of yarn. Helpful staff who gave good service but didn't hover (which I appreciate). They didn't have any sales on the yarn I wanted when I went, but their prices were on par with online and other shops, so the value was decent. This is a good yarn shop. I like a brick-and-mortar shop when selecting yarn, and Baa Baa Sheep has a nice selection of higher end yarn.

I went in for the first time as a somewhat beginner knitter trying to get back into it with an ambitious project. The woman there looked up the pattern I was using to make sure I have the right needles, she even measured me so I knew what measurement to use for my pattern. She let me know in what order I'd need each set of needles so I can start off with one pair and one skein and come back for the other needles and more yarn when I get to that point. It showed how much they care about you learning and the quality of your project instead of just selling me a whole bunch of stuff at once. Very helpful, making learning less overwhelming
