"$10 fee if you play with the magnets"Cool, thanks for making it clear you are not for families. Magnets are great, kids will touch them, they will stack them, this is normal behavior. This place has different priorities and that's their business. Mine is taking our family and business elsewhere.

After the Harvest Festival, we checked out Auntie M's American Cottage, a gift shop that sells locally crafted gifts. This includes scented soaps, needle felting kits, fused glass ornaments, wind chimes, recycled wool flowers, picture frames, oyster ornaments, cork reindeers, mermaid bookmarks, children's books, prints, trinket dishes, cork leather bags, pottery, jewelry, coffee, soup mixes, and more. I ended up getting a nutcracker print on an oyster ornament and Virginia state shaped necklace!

Auntie M's is an adorable crafty oasis in the heart of Yorktown's Riverwalk Landing. It's a small shop but is home to a couple rooms of local goods, collector's items, and jewelry. I especially loved the "Jewelry with an attitude" collection by Marilyn West, a Yorktown local. They were selling for 3 for $25 and came with inspirational phrases, like "No matter what your lot in life, build something on it." They also have a large variety of folk art collectibles designed by Lori C. Mitchell of Richmond. Those are generally priced between $25 and $90, and I purchased two summery figures for family members. In addition, they have some pretty pottery made in the area, other items etched with the town name, and much more. It's certainly a great shop to visit while in town.

This place is such a treat! They have an eclectic mix of items from different local artists. I love supporting handmade, American craftsman, and the items in this store are unique. You can find jewelry with a virginia, revolutionary war or local theme. They have wall art and felt items. I cannot describe how cool this place is. Stores like this abound in Cali, where I currently reside, but this is the first of its kind of seen in my home state. Keep it local!

Cute little shop with a lot of different things to chose from. Prices are reasonable. I especially like their greeting cards. My only wish is that they would change their offerings more often. I am local and find that most of the inventory doesn't change. For someone visiting the area that's fine, but I would shop here more often if there were more new items introduced and more seasonal items. There is another shop across the street that carries plenty of "Yorktown" souvenirs. I come to this store hoping to buy higher end and more unique, crafts, jewelry folk art pieces and specialty gifts.
