Let me say we are BIG concert goers and visit many venues in Northern Virginia, Richmond Area and the Tidewater Area. With that said - this is a really decent venue. First the venue itself. After attending several events here in the past couple years, we have never seen an issue before. Staff and security have always been pleasant and helpful. The cleanliness of the grounds, facility and even the restrooms have always been kept well. Food & beverage prices are not the worst for a venue. Now as for my rating. I will easily give this location a 5 star rating. But I would be wrong if I didn't mention a real issue that occurred on May 3, 2024 - General Parking. Was just awful. As you can see from the picture you can see the entrance to the area my small Hyundai had to jump over. Someone put a tiny board to I guess "help" cars get up over the curb. Needless to say it was worthless. Now there is construction all over the area and I'm guess this is why they are making this area General Parking. Since I don't recall ever having an issue until now. So I didn't ding the facility on this, but my guess is the city of Portsmouth is mostly responsible for this issue. But it is a real problem. Also recommend that if you're going to a show during this early 2024 season that you see if parking is going to be a problem. I don't know how long this is going to last. Parking in this area quickly filled up - causing folks to double and triple park. So go early to get a spot and be prepared to tailgate for a little bit at the end of the night so you can move your vehicle out.

Attended a concert here on nine 2124. Overall, it was a great experience. Bathroom was clean and concessions weren't too crowded (although I don't think it was a sold out show). I grew up going to Jiffy Lube pavilion in Northern VA, this venue is very similar but on a much smaller scale. Even the lawn seats are pretty close to the stage so definitely worth getting a lawn seat if you don't want to spend too much $$. My only complaint is confusion regarding how/where the line formed to get in the venue, but otherwise the process was streamlined.

What an absolutely perfect venue to take our daughter to her first live music experience! We attended on Father's Day for a contemporary Christian concert (Anne Wilson, We the Kingdom, Crowder). I've been here before, but it's been many years ago. I hardly remembered the size and location of the place. It's beautifully set on the Portsmouth waterfront, so you can take your time on the plaza area - watching boats and people - before the show. They have several bar locations set close to the water and a long concession stand on the plaza (which also serves draft and canned beers). Restrooms are convenient at the back of the plaza and there are a TON of stalls in the ladies loo. There's an ATM and merch booth as well. I will say the placement of the merch booth is a bit inconvenient and I imagine it gets cramped on busy nights as the lines will inevitably back up into the concession lines. In regard to seating - honestly, there isn't a bad seat in the place. As small as the venue is, you'll have a good view from the front row to the lawn. It's awesome!Staffing - THE best! We were met by friendly ticket takers who made us feel welcome. They kept the line moving while being thorough with security. And the ushers were so kind as well! We had forgotten our little one's ear protection and one usher, John, was so kind to bring us ear plugs. Our daughter will probably not remember much except "the pretty lady in white (Anne Wilson)", but we will remember the kindness of the staff and the beautiful evening.

Fun times @hermusicofficial concert @atlanticunionbankpavilion in Portsmouth, VA with my Uncle Ronny! Did y'all see him jamming. I was about to ask him what woman he had turned into a h** the way he was bobbing his head. Her put on a great performance and she is super talented. This young lady can play the piano , drums and guitar. An Atlantic Union Bank Pavilion is great place to check out a concert . The venue has a great sound system and is relatively small so it is an intimate setting to watch a performance.

I attended a concert at this venue last night and it went well.I liked how I just had to show the ticket on my phone. Downloading the app wasn't difficult. The venue was easy to find. I got there early and walked around Portsmouth a bit.I liked the venue because I was on the floor about a dozen rows from the stage in the middle. It looked like there were lots of good seats though. It was very loud, so I used earplugs. My ears weren't ringing after the show, so it wasn't overwhelmingly loud.I was only there for an hour because I wanted to hear the opening band and they told me via email that they'd be on at 8 p.m., so I showed up right on time. The band began performing on time as well. I left after they finished at about 9 p.m.The seats on the floor are numbered under the seat which is a little strange. Somebody was sitting in my seat, but a father and daughter had to buy seats on my left and right, so I swapped with one of them to let them sit together.I didn't use the restroom or the concessions. Everything seemed cleaned though. I noticed several people drinking cans of beer. They didn't check me before I entered and their website said they allow backpacks and one, unopened, factory-sealed drink, so I brought an organic fruit drink that I bought at 7-11. I think I could have brought almost anything in my pants and hoodie pockets though.

Parking is horrific. Free parking was 1/2 mile away. Closer parking $20.00. Never going to a concert there again !!!!!

This is our first time buying tickets at this location and it will be our last! The metal fold up chairs are literally closer than any venue I've ever been to. Every strangers shoulders are touching. I'm used to venues being snug but this was ridiculous!! It was raining and you couldn't bring in umbrellas. It's also a tent not a real structure.
