This place is okay prices are kind of high and the staff when we went there was hit or miss. Some of the vets were amazing and understanding of realistic pet owners while others pushed for expensive test that were not necessary or urgent. The front desk staff never really was quick to help when you seemed to be struggling to balance checking out, 2 dogs and 3 kids. Wish they were a little more understanding.

Very rarely can you find a vet nowadays that truly cares for you and your pet. This is not the case with ACEH. I first became aware of them several years ago when I was a director at a local giant breed rescue. We frequently had dogs come in that needed extensive medical care and working as a non profit, you have a responsibility to protect the fund you receive. You can't frivolously spend money just anywhere, you need to be able to get the best bang for the buck. We found this with ACEH. The quality of care far exceeded what they charged for that care. The staff was always amazing to work with and the doctor truly cared about the animals she saw.Fast forward many years and I moved to the area and began to work for them. The saddest day of my life was when I had to move back home for a family emergency and had to leave the clinic. Working there gave me an even bigger appreciation for this family. I say family because that's what it is. A family of people who care about each other and care about the patients they serve. The happiness overflows throughout the whole hospital.

Used to be a good vet. Seems to be money hungry now. Had blood work done initially and required me to pay $500 for a heart specialist just to tell me she had heart issues, which I already knew and obviously they did too if they had to refer me to him. But oh well I guess cause they wouldn't give meds without. Had a year check up and made me do the blood work again which ended up looking good. 6 months later now and went to renew scripts and now they are trying to make me do blood work again and saying it needs for twice a year to fill a prescription. The dog is 12.5 years old and doing great on the current meds. Just fill the script and let the dog live out her years peacefully. I've had less bloodwork done in 10 years than my dog has in the past year and a half. Sad when we loose common sense and just taking care of the animal over trying to make a buck on peoples attachment to animals making them pay for unnecessary vet visits and lab work as if they were a human.

My furry family members and myself love Dr. McCrary and the staff at Animal Clinic of Eagle Harbor. Their genuine love and concern for animals is apparent. Their prices are very reasonable. I love the small town feeling of the clinic as opposed to some of the larger, less personal clinics. I am a Suffolk resident but I make the drive to Carrolton because I don't trust anyone else with my pets. I highly recommend Animal Clinic of Eagle Harbor.

The staff here is great! Dr McCrary is very caring. My puppy has been sick and I have called the office several times. Dr McCrary has called back every time and I really appreciate all the time and effort she has put in to making sure my puppy is healthy and happy! The only reason I'm not giving them 5 starts is because I wish they offered boarding and 24 hour care.

Very good specials here on certain days of the week (Wednesdays are heartworm day, Fridays are dental day) small clinic, no ER services. Staff and vet are very friendly. Took off 1 star because they do not offer boarding or grooming services and charge $17 to cut nails (not dremel, cut) no matter what the size of the dog. Still though, we are happy customers and we'll keep coming back!

I have taken my pets here since I moved to the Smithfield area 15 years ago and Dr. McCrary has been so compassionate and has always been available for emergency situations and just general annual visits. Recently my pup was attacked by a large German Shepherd and she was so compassionate and, helpful while I was trying to care for Chloe. I was able to text her questions and she was diligent about replying. I will not go to any other Vet and I highly recommend them.. Thank you
