Angelo's Restaurant & Raw Bar

We stopped here tonight in order to take advantage of the Tuesday specials. We ordered the special 2 topping special with mushrooms and tomatoes. It came out hot, loaded and fairly fast. Medium thin crust with nice crunchy curb. The tomatoes were nice and ripe. There were also plenty of mushrooms. Washed it down with a cold Miller Lite.we also picked up two slices of pie to go. The service from Gracelyn was perfect.The restaurant is a find a seat yourself buy when we did we were promptly waited on. Supper for two, two beers, 2 slices of pie (dessert) and tip for under $30!

Well I'm back again an Angelo's never disappoints the pizza is SO GOOD! Made to order, Generous Toppings! Oh and get the Italian sausage on your pizza! Onion Rings and mozzarella sticks are great!

The staff were very nice. The food was excellent, except the bacon and cheese fries. And the interior was very neat and looked good.

Returned to Angelo's again (and again, after a long absence). This time I was in the mood and craving a steak; considering my options in Dahlgren, this is as close as I could get that wasn't a chain. Anyway. I find it very hard to complain, because the NY Strip with scallops was really tasty. But: The salad was sad. Just sad. They serve coleslaw in little plastic cups? I mean, come on, you're a full-service restaurant and you bring out a little scoop of coleslaw in plastic? The baked potato was only luke-warm (at best) and it only came with butter. I would have been happy to let the waitress know and see if she would nuke it for a minute to heat it up, but once she delivered my order she was non-existent. And that's really where the biggest issue for me is: I walk in, obviously not from Montross, and the waitress acted like I was imposing on her to get a table and order some food (by the way, the table had dried up spaghetti sauce (well, it was red anyway) on it, which is pretty gross)...but boy, if the waitresses knew you (in other words your a local?) oh yeah, lets stop and chat and hang out, blah blah blah. I couldn't even get a refill on my tea, or get asked if I want dessert...just "here's your check" And oh by the way, if you pay by card? Expect to pay 3% more for your bill. Like I said in the beginning, the main course was good; and their pizzas are awesome (I'll have to get one soon to reverify, it's been a while)....but crappy service with attitude? I can find somewhere else....

To the owner ..move YOUR freaking Car & allow room for customers! Her New White Suburban is always sitting out front when we run in to pick up our call in order. Today she had the cajones to ask me to move our car to allow curb pickup orders & her car was sitting right behind ours. I think she was upset because she felt someone was parked in her spot.Lady you are an arrogant person ..shame on you!! You don't need to worry about our car parking at your business again!

This is a nice local family owned bar/restaurant and one of the few spots to get a bite to eat in the area 7 days a week. The restaurant is casual and has a private parking lot on the side as well as across the street.There is two side to the restaurant. There is the family dining side and the bar side. Both sides have dining room seating. The bar side has a full bar with a television. It has some neat eclectic decorations. The restaurant has an extensive menu that includes steaks, burgers, salads, seafood, wraps, desserts and Italian. I heard that most everything is good. I opted to go with the oyster po boy with fries. It was delicious and fresh. I throughly enjoyed both. On another note, I have also eaten some of there catered food at a local event and it was delicious too.The staff there is very friendly, attentive and welcoming. Even though I was not a local, I felt right at home. This is an awesome down-home bar/restaurant and worth a visit. I really enjoyed my meal here and hope to make it back here soon.

This is our favorite place for freshly made pizza - any kind of pizza and the steak and cheese sub. We also enjoy the after 5:00 pm menu items (especially the oysters). Great place to meet up with friends. Although we have our favorite menu items - everything is tasty. We also appreciate the servers. Those ladies keep up with the tables even when the place is packed. Time to go get a pizza.

We were camping nearby and decided to not cook one night and ordered takeout from Angelo's. There are VERY limited options in the area so we landed on Angelo's as it seemed to have a good variety of items. I called and placed our order (can't remember the last time I've actually done that!) and was told 30 minutes. I arrived around then and the staff was clearly overwhelmed with the full dining room. It took several minutes to get acknowledged but once I was recognized, things moved quickly. I paid and left. And promptly returned to the counter after checking my bag as an entire entree was missing. I went back in, they put it together and I was off.We ordered: hot wings, fried oysters, a chicken gyro, and a kids chicken fingers and fries. The kids meal was basically inedible- the chicken was very hard and crunchy with little meat and the fries tasted like fryer grease. The other items were ok-not terrible, not really memorable. The next time we camp in the area, I think we will try the other restaurant down the street for takeout and hope for a better experience.

Local eatery. Nothing special but GOOD! Home cooking foods. Comfort foods. That's the idea.

We are out of towners and had a great meal at Angelo's. Our server was really nice, friendly and attentive, even though the place was packed. All the food we ordered was great. The baked spaghetti was flavorful, and very cheesy. I wonder where they get the cheese from, it compliments the dish well. Kids loved their pizza and theyre always picky about food. Their style reminds me of Pizza Hut, buttery deep crust but with better quality ingredients. Overall, we felt verywelcomed and had a great meal.
