Great selection of plants and all your gardening needs under one roof.I did have a bit of a challenge finding someone that could help with care instructions for the plants I was looking at but I was there closer to closing.They also have Sage Cafe, boutique clothing & gift shop and will soon have a coffee shopI believe they've been open for 70 years

Andersons is just such a fun place. We grabbed lunch at the restaurant and then shopped around. They have some cute boutique looking clothing for a decent price. Each section we went to someone offered to help us. I grabbed a coffee at the newish shop and it was SO GOOD. I love to shop with espresso. They have cute gifts and decorations for the season. Their plant selection seemed pretty good. We went when not a whole lot was blooming but the plants looked healthy. Overall a nice afternoon lunch and browse.

I enjoy visiting Anderson's Garden Center in Newport News, Virginia. Today, their flowers were blooming more than usual. In spite of the cloudy and dull weather, they were boldly showing their beautiful colors. There is also an eatery in the garden center that my Grubbing Buddy and I frequent when we're in the area. This particular visit, I was looking to replace an outdoor mailbox plant that I've had for a while. The person who helped me did her best to pinpoint the right plant for me. We walked practically all over the place, as she showed me what was available. Suddenly, a couple appeared, asked a question and my helpful tour guide was no longer helpful to me. I had to ask her, "Were we done helping me find a plant?" as she stood close to the other couple as if I wasn't there. Personally, I won't let this incident ruin my experience with the Anderson Garden Center, but I will mostly likely avoid asking that particular gardener for help, in the future

I love Anderson's . The people are courteous and professional. If you ask a question they answer.They will even design your yard!If you want good plants and good design go to Anderson's!

What a place of beauty and peace Anderson's Nursery was a couple of days ago. I was able to get my wife's plants home safely.

Everytime I get a new plant baby from here I end up getting way too many LOL. I love how diverse the nursery is and it's huge! The employees are are so happy to help and they will even give you great advice on keeping you plants alive! Once your done there, visit Sage for lunch and eat everything ! You will not be disappointed. The chefs and the menu are superb!

This place is a hidden gem. I am wondering what took me so long to dine here. The mix of my love for gardening and food makes this place a favorite of mine now. The people at the restaurant are soooo sweet. Never had an unhappy experience. The food is fresh and unique. There's so much I want to try. I am not a vegetarian but I recently tried the (Meatless) Mushroom Burger. Although the mushroom was a tad salty, the whole burger itself was so flavorful you almost forget you aren't eating meat. That is quite an accomplishment.It is no surprise this place gets packed. Luckily, you are able to get a pager and just go roam around and look at plants while you wait.

I've checked in several times now at Andersons and each time "Pleased" the options are good if your into sandwiches. The choice to have regular fries vs. sweet potato fries is always nice for everyone. They also have soup as an alternative if your into soup and a sandwich The salads are fresh and you can also have a freshly squeezed beverageif you choose. I ordered the King club sandwich and thoroughly loved it. Enjoy They likewise have a Paleo to go located inside the restaurant area. I'm not sure the hours of operation as it was closed while we were at the restaurant.

Absolutely best nursery in town. Many selections and flowers are little pricey side but it's worth it. Also I love the gift shop too.

The manager was very friendly with customers and very attentive to his employees. The cafe staff, always seem put out or like you are interrupting their conversations among each-other. Thumbs up to the manager.
