Anchor Grill

Food truck right in the neighborhood. This is a big plus in my book. We had been wanting to try their food for a while. This truck used to be stationed further down the outer banks but has recently moved to Kitty Hawk. Food is made fresh to order. You can call ahead and pickup and pay or you can order at the truck and wait. We waited since it was our first time. The food is delicious. Their meals come with a side of their homemade Pico and fresh chips. I got the Buxton Burger, a 6 oz Patty and added cheese. Comes on a nice roll with all the condiment sauces on the side. I also got onions, pickles and lettuce. Wife got the Wanchese steak sandwich. That was HUGE, she only has had and I enjoyed the rest. Plenty of steak on a nice long bun. I'd probably ask for mustard and Mayo next time. Waffle fries were super fresh and delicious. They will definitely get my vote next time we are looking for a meal or burgers and steak subs.

It was the absolute best tacos, I had to come back and try another item. I got the steak sub and it was so big I couldn't finish it. I would recommend adobo seasoning on the meat or something to make it bang! My hubby got the blackened tuna wrap again! He looks so happy eating from this place! I love it! WE LOVE IT! Thank you for making this great food! I can finally say it's worth going out again, instead of cooking at home.

I have been coming to the OBX for 15 summers. The best food I've had has been the last two years at the Anchor Grill! The food is fresh, seasoned and delicious! I made the trip from Salvo to Kitty Hawk happily and will continue to do so while I'm here. Don't snooze on this! Yum!

We ate at Anchor Grill out first night staying at Camp Hatteras. Not only was is convenient but the food tasted great and was ready quickly! We have full bellies and couldn't be happier. Check it out!

Great food truck, serves fresh salsa, crab cakes and more! Funnel fries were awesome and cheesesteak was great. A must-try.

Delicious blackened shrimp nachos!! Huge portion!! Fried shrimp seasoned perfectly. It was hot and crispy!! Funnel cake fries were delicious. Plenty of powdered sugar! Hot, fresh food and friendly service.

Went here for lunch this week. Delish! Teach's Tacos , tuna (fish of the day), were excellent. Tuna was cooked perfectly tender and a good portion. Also got Frisco Fried Shrimp with side of rice & beans, and a Big Wave Wrap - all very tasty. The owners were friendly and helpful. Ate outside, the 2 tables had umbrellas that were much needed. Would definitely go back :-)

The menu looked amazing and we were fairly drooling over the descriptions of each item. So I was excited to get to the window to order. The lady greeted me with a broad smile and a friendly "how y'all doin?"I returned the friendly tone and said "Great, thanks!" and then asked "Hey, are y'all vaccinated?" See, none of the people working in the truck were masked, so it raised some concern for us (we are fully vaxxed, but with three vulnerable people in our group, we are taking no chances of becoming a breakthrough case). The friendly lady at the window looked around at her coworkers and replied as pleasantly as she could "that's kind of a personal question."Which is an answer only given by people who aren't vaccinated. So we thanked her, and left. Really disappointed, since the food looked and smelled amazing. I really hope they reconsider whatever is keeping them from protecting themselves and their customers, and get vaccinated. They lost our business today, but we would love to try them out once the pandemic is over.

Best burger Ive had in a while! Great small business that is family friendly. They had benches outside and cornhole to play. They were so friendly and our food came out so fast. Highly recommend to anyone in the area!!
