Strong 3.5/5 overall. Patriotic aesthetics, military inspired menu items at reasonable prices with good service. Friday workday brunch w spouse saw $4 pineapple mimosa (her not me, I'm on the clock), biscuits with gravy, eggs and fried chicken breast (3.5/5) and Bangor bowl (3.5/5). Presentation was above average for both, though biscuit entree was bland cured by hot sauce and black pepper. Extra half star on rating because location is close to work and they had Christmas decor (wife enjoyed). Shared parking lot; be alert, driveway entrance is easy to miss.

We have always loved Anchor Allies. I was surprised to see I haven't already reviewed it because at one point they had my favorite salad. Today, however, was a different experience than our usual. I ordered the Shipsbell omelette which was a usual of mine. This time was really different. The omelette was smaller with only a very little bit of crab on top of the omelette and three shrimp in it. I paid for hollandaise and didn't receive it but overall wasn't very tasty. The rest of the guests were really underwhelmed with their food. The scrambled eggs weren't good. The home fries were not seasoned and the biscuits and gravy also seemed under seasoned than it usually is. The service however was great and the restaurant is still very cute and clean. I'm hoping to come back and hopefully update this review

Sometimes I choose places and it's a hit or miss. This was a miss. The food was absent of flavor. The bacon was very poor quality. Also if you want big portions this isn't the place for you. The best thing at this place was our waiter, John. He's a shining star. The theme of this place is adorable but the food is not good. At least not what we had. If this restaurant insist on cooking with no love they better keep the salt and pepper shakers on the table, they came in handy.

The worst service ever. Actually stiffed the waitress. 1st time in my life!!! Got my silverware after our meal. Forgot everything, every request, every drink. You name it. They will not get it. $20 burritos are barely bigger than McDonald's but come with 6 Tater tots. Hate to leave a review for a shipmate but this place sucked that bad. Ruined my morning with my 2 Navy sons. Service sucked. Food was ok..coffee was weak AF. Go elsewhere trust me

Cute and delicious breakfast diner with nautical themed menu. The Bangor bowl was perfect, I added avocado but I think adding jalapeños would make it perfect. The breakfast tacos were very filling, there are only 2 of them but they are packed full. The 40 Mike Mike cocktail is delicious, perfect iced coffee cocktail for brunch. Our server was perfect, kept our water full. I will definitely be back here to try more brunch and lunch options.

Great breakfast spot! It has a nice theme & is decorated well! The service was great. John (server) was phenomenal and lively. I ordered the breakfast tacos, cheesy grits, single pancake, and an Orange juice mimosa. The breakfast tacos were delicious & larger than I imagine! Very filling with lots of flavor. The cheesy grits tasted good, but were not the consistency or texture of grits. I enjoyed them despite their texture. The pancake was great. Can't go wrong with a pancake. Overall, my experience here was pleasant & I would visit again.

Was super excited to try Anchor Allies since it's close to the house, woman-owned and has a really extensive and fun menu. Came with a friend around brunch time on a Sunday, expecting a wait which was very short. We were seated at a booth with plenty of room which was nice. The hostess was very nice.We ordered specialty coffee drinks which were delicious, definitely the best part of our meal. Our server was also nice, but seemed to be pretty uneducated on the menu offerings. We ordered the deviled eggs as an appetizer. They were a bit bland and messily presented. Some eggs had a ton of bacon, others had a much smaller piece. They tasted like average deviled eggs you would grab at a neighborhood picnic, not restaurant quality.Onto entrees: we came for brunch but some of the lunch items sounded delicious so I ordered a burger. The mushroom and blue cheese burger sounded fantastic since that's one of my favorite flavor combinations. When it arrived, I noticed that there weren't any mushrooms on the burger. I asked the server and she said she wasn't sure why. After a bit of waiting, she came back over and said they didn't have any mushrooms. If I had known this previously, I wouldn't have ordered it but sucked it up and ate the burger. 10 minutes later, she came back with a small ramekin of mushrooms. The miscommunication was frustrating since I had then eaten much of the burger. We also spent a good majority of the meal without silverware. Overall, not a great experience.

Veteran owned and operated. Woman owned and operated. These facts, plus the great reviews, made me look forward to giving this place a try, and I wasn't disappointed. It has a fun diner, nautical, military feel. Service was pleasant, quick, and attentive. My biggest issue coming here was finding something not boring on the menu that wasn't huge!I settled on the Perfect Pier Pancakes - 2 large stacked pancakes made from scratch sprinkled with powdered sugar. I made them chocolate pancakes with two eggs over hard and bacon on the side. You might be thinking that this sounds like a lot of add-ons as I wasn't looking for a huge meal. Well, outside the $1 for the chocolate chips, everything else was included with the Perfect Pier.Everything was great. I usually completely skip breakfast. When I don't, something sweet comes even more rarely. So, this was a real treat for me and the perfect place to make it happen.

Another great local spot for breakfast! Just what I have been looking for, a breakfast place that welcomes you like a family member! This is a great place if your eating solo or with friends. They have a cute bar to sit at! Not only does the Anchor Allies team make you feel welcomed their regulars make you feel right at home too! The service is top notch! They have a lot of great options on the menu I had a hard time deciding what to order so I asked the waitress what does she recommend she told me the French toast. As I was talking to the waitress about my favorite coffee and the cocktail I make she suggested a shot. She really had to twist my arm to try it! It was very good. So let's discuss the meal I honestly thought that the French toast would be too much food for me with bacon and home fries boy was I wrong cause I ate everything. Typically I would try to just eat half and bring the other half home but it was too good to eat just half. If you've never been here, I highly recommend you go you will not be sorry . I even got to take a picture with some of the team. To my Anchor Allie friends/family don't you worry I will be back very soon!!
