I came across Amy's Garden's booth at the Birdhouse Farmers Market in Richmond, and WOW what a treat!! Their products and prices are incredible. I don't go to Farmers Markets often and after visiting this booth I think I might start making it a weekly thing. The flower bouquets were to die for. They have some of the prettiest flowers I've ever seen. I was able to get a very full bouquet for just $8! They also sell bouquets with paper that are $12 and a bit bigger. They also have fresh produce. I got some yellow and green zucchini, the perfect summer veggie! They were selling other greens and vegetables too. I can't wait to bring my friends to this booth. I'm looking forward to returning with a bigger basket to buy more goodies! I highly recommend stopping by this booth, the line is worth the wait (it also goes by really fast).

Whew, this place is da bomb! Amy's Garden has a stand at the South of the James market, and it's worth going to each and every week. The have the most gorgeous flowers, by the stem and also usually pre-arranged. I've seen gorgeous peonies, and snapdragons this year, and soon they'll have zinnias. For anyone who likes to have fresh flowers in the house but doesnt feel like spending a ton of cash, Amy's is your place. But what I really love about Amy's is their selection of heirloom tomatoes. They have the largest selection of any of the stands, and every kind is AWESOME. They also have different varieties of zucchini, and even peas! I got some white and purple spotted peas, that were awesome! When I cooked them, the purple went away! And they tasted like regular peapods... In the summer, Amy's often offers salsa kits, which include a variety of tomatoes, peppers, and onions... it's the perfect buy for not just salsa but almost any summer meal... you can easily make a salad, garnish plates, or make a macaroni salad! Amy's also has big bunches of basil I like to purchase, and they have some fruits from time to time (raspberries and strawberries particularly) that are great.I'm not so picky that I have to have organic (which Amy's is!) but I do like unique foods and Amy's has the best selection in town! Now I will say, their lines are a bit long, so get to the market early and make Amy's one of your first stops. The gentleman who runs the stand is also super nice, and has great tips for how to use the veggies...
