I'm so happy we finally have ABW in Chesapeake. I was hoping they would as good as the other ABW locations which they are. The sauce just needs to be a tad bit more hotter. The other locations usually has my nose running from the sauce But overall good. I just get my usually hot wings fried hard and fries. Service was great. And the location was nice and clean.

Bold Claim, but Not Quite There YetWe had been out running errands, and time had gotten away from us. Most of our usual spots were either closed or about to close. While driving, I spotted a sign advertising gyros--definitely my love language--so, on a whim, we decided to try a new place. This was a bit unusual for me, as this spot had no Yelp reviews, and I typically prefer to rely on others' experiences.This place is more of a takeout joint, though they do have several tables inside. The tables weren't the cleanest, which made me wonder how frequently they get wiped down. Although there are tables available, everyone there was eating out of to-go boxes, so it's clearly geared towards takeout. They don't bring food to your table either; you have to pick it up at the counter.As for the food: * The wings were just okay. I got the hot Jamaican jerk flavor, but they were lacking in jerk seasoning--mostly just spicy. I might try a different flavor next time. * The menu showed that the gyro came with french fries, but it didn't. The meat itself was tasty, but the "white sauce" was more like ranch than tzatziki, which made for an odd combination. We asked for feta, but the owner informed us they didn't have any. Instead, they offered shredded cheddar or mozzarella--not quite the same. * The Philly cheesesteak was decent but not remarkable. The mayonnaise tasted a little off, and the meat-to-bread ratio wasn't ideal. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either.Given the name "America's Best," I had higher expectations. Of everything we tried, I'd maybe get one thing again. Perhaps the place is new or just had an off night, but it's not somewhere I'm eager to revisit.On a positive note, the service was fantastic. The woman behind the counter greeted us warmly, complimented my wife, and even opened every container to show us our food before handing it over. Her friendliness was a highlight of the visit.

Whole wings were the only thing I've ordered. They were fast and cooked well. I requested hot sauce, that took them up a notch.

Awful! Fries and wings were old and refried in old oil. The wings looked like rawhide dog chews. The gyro had a strong and weird flavor. Wasn't traditional by any means. The meat looked old and dried out. Health dept needs to pay this place a visit.
