American Heritage R V Park

This email was sent to the owners to let them know of our experience at this rv park. We were so excited to be able to spend the long 4th of July weekend there. For days we readied our camper, food, and packed all that we needed. A little vacation was exactly what we needed. Upon arrival to site 90, we set up and everything seemed to be good. We decided to go to the pool. It was very cloudy and the step down into the pool seems dangerous. I swam anyway as it was such a hot day. Even though the sign said no alcohol at the pool, almost everyone was drinking alcohol. We looked for the miniature golfing area and were shocked that you would even call it that. The picture on the map implies that it will be fun. It was bare and unappealing. When we got back to our camper, I wanted to shower and we found out that the water is Sulphur water. In all of our years of camping, we have never been to a park that did not have acceptable drinking/showering/cooking water. Then... we sat down at our table to eat our dinner and the camper was covered in tiny ants. And I mean thousands of them. We killed all we could but they were in everything! Even our package of napkins. It was really awful. That night when we went to bed, I did not sleep well. I kept waking up thinking that the ants were crawling on me. I asked my husband how he slept and his experience was the same. We packed up and left by 9am the next morning. We would like a refund of the two remaining nights. Please let us know if you need any further information from us to make sure this happens. Though we have called and left messages to speak with them and sent several emails, we have not heard from them once. Not even an apology.

We recently stayed here for our final camp of the season. This park is very clean and quiet. The bath houses are spacious and very clean. Unlike some of the other camp sites I've been to the bath houses have a main entry with a row of toilets and a row of showers. I really like that because you can quickly get in and out and what you need to do. The RV section of the park has regular sites or premium sites. The premium sites come with patio furniture and nicer fire pits. The regular sites have picnic tables and a fire pit. They do have amenities like basketball, a swimming pool, horseshoe, a game room and mini golf. The mini golf was a few holes with no attendant, golf balls or golf clubs in sight. You may need to bring your own stuff or check with the office. The game room only had two games that work. My favorite part of this campground was the trails in the woods. It's a fairly easy trail my kids had a blast. The trail is about 0.88 miles. This park is very quiet so if you are looking to have solace and connect with nature this is your place. If you are looking to party this is not that sort of camp ground. That being said there are a lot of rules. *All kids have to have helmets when riding bikes or scooters!*no clothing lines strung outside* One automobile per site, additional vehicles must be registered. *No rowdy and/or boisterous behavior allowed! They have a-lot of pine cones here! The pine cones are massive and could hurt if they fall on you. Be aware of the falling pine cones! Overall my stay was pleasant.

We have stayed here before and like it. They seem to be adding quite a bit of additional parking and common areas as to this park. We took a long walk on their nature trail. It was fun.

Like this place. Not perfect but still a 5 compared to some place. Sites are close together but very clean and the hooks worked great. We did had a premiere spot which gave us full hook ups concrete pad to park on and an extra concrete with a patio table with 6 chairs. Really didn't have much interaction with the people in the office so no complaints. The restrooms were clean but not perfect. Always had hot water but you may want to try the cold side if you have a problem....the hot side didn't work but turned it to the cold and it worked for hot water. Yeah! The pool was nice and clean. Yes I'd stay again.

Not very pleasant to deal with. Lady was rude about long term rentals, seems like she had more pressing matters than doing her job. First she said they had sites available and then she said they are only held back for people who work??? My parents are retired and looking for a 3 month site, guess money spends different depending on who you are. 1200 a month for the site no matter patio or not. Take your business elsewhere, not what we were expecting when we walked in today.

Our family stayed here during thanksgiving and we had an awesome time! The staff was very friendly and was there to help whenever you needed something. The park was clean and laid out very nicely. The park has one pool and one bathhouse, good size dog park as well as a basketball court towards the front of the park. There are several nature trails that are accessible from the park. The sites are concrete with most of them being pull through with concrete pads that include a picnic table. Fire buckets are available upon request. There are some premium sites that offer large concrete pads with a chimney surrounded by tables and chairs. We had a great time and we plan on coming back to this park during the same time next year!

I recently had family come in to town, towing their RV. They made great use of one of the premium sites which had full hook up for water, power and sewer.I stayed two nights in one of the on site cabins. I chose a bigger one which had one queen bed, a bunk bed (separate room), kitchen (no oven), bathroom, living room with pullout and dining area. Note: you must bring your own linens. Cable tv was available in living room and bedroom. HVAC provided by two wall units. Installed heating. The staff are very kind and accommodating.Only negative feedback: restrooms by the pool were in need of serious attention.

Was a wonderful experience but came to a end very quickly..on November 29th to be exact. A young lady and gentlemen on a golf cart that seemed to be a couple were gathering trash from several sites... I was walking my dog up to the office when I heard a vulgar noise coming from one the storage/work sheds off to the side where the golf cart was now parked. the older lady was shouting in sexual gestures to her boyfriend/CO worker.. To F#+# her harder and was wailing.... I continued back to my site after this inconvenience and as walking away I noticed the lady from the office Cassandra pulling up her pants as she was sliding on the golf cart along with the man fixing his.shirt and belt... Both head to office in a hurry and laughing meanwhile I was appalled... When I went back into the office about 15/20 minutes later after putting my dog up I walked in the office and waited at the desk with no one there but lady Cassandra was in a side office ?was bragging to another female about what she just did with her boyfriend and what a mess he made in her panties.. I have never had this type of experience and I can definitely say I will not be returning especially with my kids due to.the lack.of professional associates.. very disappointed abd will not be returning. I hope this review gets out and I hope the owners and managers get to the bottom of such a horrible event at a family/child based resort.. I will be sharing this review on all travel sites... I had to stop my husband from leaving a review he was furious and dealt with this situation on his mind till we made.it back to Toronto

The good- Beautiful grounds. Clean restrooms. The bad- HORRIBLE connectivity. Todays RV'er wants good Wi-Fi and cell service. This place is simply awful in that regard. My booster won't even work here. No trash pick up- gotta take it to the office. Despite tight turns they don't take you to your site. These owners need to get into this century. Please match the technology with the beauty of the place and you have a real winner.

Great RV park in the Williamsburg Virginia area. Easy access to all activities in the area. The staff are so friendly . And the RV park is top-notch, the RV sites, the bathhouse and facilities, and the laundry room are very well maintained. We will return the next time we're in the area.
