Almost There

What a great little countryside restaurant located between Aylett and Tappahannock VA.Our first visit the food was great the quality and taste was some of the best homemade cooking from a restaurant I have eaten. The owner and staff are some of the nicest people I've met in Virginia. We have returned several times and still remain happy, The daily hours are limited so don't miss out on a great stop.

Once again I stopped by for lunch after church. And once again I was impressed by my burger. A Monterey Jack and mushroom burger at that. It was big and delicious!! The burgers here never cease to amaze me!

So glad we finally stopped! We have been passing by for years of missed opportunity! The staff is friendly, food is amazing and prices are reasonable. Husband got the chicken salad sandwich with potato salad and said it was some of the best he ever had. I had a great bacon cheeseburger and fries. The cook (maybe owner?) came out and asked if our buns were toasted too much and everything was done ok. The toasted/grilled bread was as the best part! Done to perfection as if I was home doing it! Will definitely go back. Loved it.

Great little spot. Fresh food and friendly staff. If you are driving through stop for a bite to eat. You will not be disappointed. Highly recommend!!!

The first time you walk in here, you are treated like a long time friend. Honest food in generous servings make this place a local favorite. Easy to find, easy to park, and a long menu provides choices for anyone.

Oh my gosh this little hole in the wall has great food. They are so friendly and the price is right.

Great little restaurant. Food is always good and service friends. Soups and sandwiches are a must.

Don't waste your money here. Awful food, everything I have received is old, burnt or not properly cooked. Nothing is ever in stock, they always run out, or when they tell you they have something, it's usually the end of the barrel type of somethibg they give you. The only good thing about this place is the wait staff. They are always kind and treat you like close friend. **NOT the owner though. She's rude and doesn't care what she is feeding to people. I've never in my life had such horrible things to say about a restaurant but this is the worst. Ive given them multiple chances and every single time, this place always disappoints. Do not give this owner a dime of your money, because your most likely buying something out of the trash can. Unacceptable!

This place was a great find in a small town! I ordered the Philly Cheese steak and Fries and my husband ordered the Big Ole Burger. Portion size was great and the steak and burger were well seasoned. The hostess and the cook were very nice and the ambiance is quaint and calm great place definitely will go again to try other menu options.
