I received amazing customer service at this location by the manager on duty. She definitely went above and beyond my expectations. I saw an item on the weekly recap of what's new on YouTube. I've been looking for something similar without any luck so I definitely got excited when I saw it. This was my third and last stop without any luck. The previous two locations just said they didn't have it and went about their business. When I asked at this location, the manager said she would go on the computer to see if she could find it. When she returned she said she researched December, January and all ads available to her. Then she reached out to other managers for help. Unfortunately she couldn't find the item but I truly appreciated her efforts in trying to locate the item for me. This is not my usual Aldi's but may have to rethink that. Also, while I waited, I had time to walk the store. It was clean and very well stocked. Everything looked fresh and appetizing. And just in case someone is wondering what the item was, I will post a picture just in case.

Love them! Always clean, well stocked, helpful employees! Parking lot is a bit difficult, but definitely worth it.

This store is pretty new to the General Booth area...used to be a food lion. In true Aldi fashion three's a decent selection of fruits and vegetables. But what knocked this review down a star was the selection of meat products. It would be nice to see more lamb, beef, and wild game meats available. Additionally, there was only one cashier to check people out. At the very least there should be two cashiers.

This is one of Virginia Beach's more remote store. Still glad to have one close to Red Wing Park. This small store supplies what you'll need while saving you money.

Ok so looking at this review holistically you may say three stars. Meh. This is a strong three stars. You get off brands at cheaper than Harris Teeter prices. You don't get the services that you have at higher end supermarkets such as Whole Foods, Trader Joe's or the aforementioned Harris Teeter Parking is easy. Have to give a quarter to get a shopping cart (ya get it back). And you have to use your own bags. Not as large a staff as other supermarkets. But when you go there the staff is always friendly, check in folks are limited so have to bag groceries yourself with your bags. Savings are considerable and the store has always been clean. Not whole foods by a margin but if don't need the frills and endless selection (think borat at the cheese isle) then it is just fine. I recommend it just isn't a four star (Harris Teeter) or five star Whole Foods) which is fine.

This Aldi is located in the Dam Neck Square Shopping Center, which recently went through some building updates for the entire shopping center. This is the former location of Food Lion, which moved across the street. There is ample parking in this shopping center. My most recent visit here was on January 12, 2020.On the outside, you can easily spot this store from the shopping center and the road. However, make sure you have a quarter with you if you need a cart. You will need that quarter to get a cart, but you get it back once it is returned properly. Also, make sure to bring your own reusable bags if you have them. Bags are available there by the register, but you do have to pay for each bag.Once you come inside the store, you can see that it's well lit. The aisles are quite large, so it's easy to navigate through them. Most of the produce and such will be over to the right and in front of you after entering. I will note that the produce area is pretty small and limited, so you may not find everything you're looking for on that front here. There is some signage for each shopping row to give you an idea of where things are. They have a section of the store called Aldi Finds. These are items that they don't have on a recurring basis. They are available on a first come, first serve basis and changes weekly. You'll see hanging signs for the Aldi Finds section. The back of the store has more of your cold staples (meats, poultry, etc.). To the left center of the store, you'll find the dairy and some other cold products there as well. Many of the items in the store are private label, but there are some brand names here as well, but manufacturer coupons are not accepted here (only Aldi store coupons are accepted). The checkout process is pretty much like any other place. Each time I have been in here though, only one register has been open. One time the line was pretty long, but no other ones ever opened up. On one visit, we had gotten the wrong type of item, but didn't realize it until at home. So, a trip back here was done to return that item and get the correct version of the item. The process for this was pretty easy as well. The one thing that they don't have is a rewards program like their rival Lidl has.Overall, this Aldi isn't a bad place to stop to get some staples and little things without the large crowds. They are very competitive with pricing on items, sometimes better than the larger chains. Lidl is their main rival of this type of store. I would definitely be back again if I am looking for just a few items. Even though I call Lidl their closest competitor, the two stores do carry some slightly different items too. If you are in the need to get some general grocery items, this is a good fill in spot to get those needed things.

I enjoy visiting this Aldi location. 9 times out of 10 I will find what I went there for. The Aldi finds isle or what many of us call "The Isle of Shame" is usually always stocked even though people go quickly on Wednesdays to buy all of the good stuff. All of the employees I have met here are very professional and kind. The store is always clean and organized.

A new aldi! A brand new location in va beach on general booth! Good location and neat and clean store. All is stocked up and ready to go. I love aldi for their low prices and cool products. This store doesn't disappoint. I do like lidl as well. Actung! America. Step it up and offer more stores like this...don't forget your quarter. A Canadian quarter works too. ;) There are free bags today but they also offer boxes for your goodies. Look for $5off coupons in local papers and mailers.

By far the best Aldi I've ever been to. Great employees, clean, well stocked and centrally located. I'm a fan of the produce of almost of all of the Aldi locations and this one does not disappoint. I found a few good wines I gave as Christmas presents. Their egg nog was given to me as a birthday present and it was outstanding! I'd recommend this location to any and everyone and plan to return frequently. Don't forget to browse each aisle for special finds...sometimes offered for a limited time only.

I come to this Aldi often. I always have amazing customer service. Multiple times they have been out of items that I needed but the employees are still great. However, Today I was treated like a huge inconvenience. I had like 5 items (no cart) and went to the only register open. I then proceeded to wait 4 minutes for the employee to come back to the register. No problem, I get it. The employee says nothing to me but "you can swipe your card". No apologies for not being at the register or anything. As I am going to put my 5 items in the bag she say "I am going to need that cart". She also said "do you want your receipt". Which I responded yes please. No have a good day or anything from her. I too work retail, I get it but to be so cold and unresponsive is super rude.
