The optometrist and techs were great, effient, and precise. I didn't have to wait when showing up 10 mins before my appointment. The reason for two stars off is because the rep so helps you pick out glasses was slightly aloof. Wasn't really paying attention to questions I was asking, was really preoccupied with something else going on at her computer, it's like I were an afterthought and whatever was on her screen was more important than me. She misunderstood several of my questions because she weren't paying attention. It was all sort of weird. I'll go back again as my experience were generally good, but I might try a different glasses tech.

I'm honestly perplexed as to why this place has bad reviews. My experience was wonderful. Quick wait times, friendly staff and doctors. I'll be returning for my annuals from here on out.

After going to the ER for a chemical corneal burn/abrasion (due to swim goggle defogger) on New Years Day 2025, it was recommended that I see an ophthalmologist the next day. Albemarle Eye Center in Kitty Hawk kindly worked me in on an emergency basis. Dr. Lindsey and her staff were professional and very knowledgeable in treating this significant injury and made appropriate recommendations for followup with my ophthalmologist in Fairfax, VA upon our return home. I had my third and last appointment with this doctor today, and he commented that my healing has progressed excellently and sees no need for further treatment. My vision has returned to very close to normal, I am very grateful to Dr. Lindsey and her staff for their excellent treatment and contribute my unexpectedly positive recovery to their expertise. Very grateful for their presence on the Outer Banks.

This used to be great! I've been a patient there for years. Unfortunately, after they rescheduled my appointment, sent me a text, email and phone call to confirm my new appointment, they call 2 days before my appointment to inform me they no longer accept Tricare insurance. I don't think I've ever seen someone so throughly screw over their patients and ruin their own business. If you really don't care about keeping your appointment then by all means try going here.

Worst Drs ever. You wait forever past your appointment time. Forever! In 3 years they kept telling me my prescription didn't change even though my vision got worse. Decided to go to Dare Vision-he was awesome and I can finally see!

Had a appointment scheduled for the 9th of this month. My gut told me something was up so called to confirm since I made it a long time ago to be told the doctor I was scheduled with only sees patients with eye medical problems. And they wouldn't be able to fit me in anytime soon. Wish I didn't even have to leave the one star. Glad I did t wait as well and can now work I stead of having my time wasted. Yall messed with the wrong person. I. Gone pass the word on how you treat your customers all over the outer banks. This is by far not the first issue I've heard of rom your bussiness as well either.

Horrible. Lack of professionalism. Every last one of the employees and doctor have an attitude. Don't try to call...phones have been down for months. My whole family will be going elsewhere and it looks like others have also gone.

I had cataract surgery the first part of January. After an hour and a half drive to the surgery center upon arriving, the first thing they asked for was payment in full of the balance. After paying, an assistant came out and told me the laser machine was down but the could do it basically by hand. The next statement was that there was no discount due to the laser being unavailable. Rather than waste another day, I went ahead and had it done. The next day folowup was a joke. The doctor came in, looked at me and said you're good to go. I had to stop hiom from leaving the room to ask questions. His answers directly contridicted what the brochure that they gave me said. My next followup visit was close to the same. When I went to check in they wanted me to fill out papers for the other eye and pay the 50% deposit. I told them I was there for a followup and was not doing the other eye until the first eye was to my satisfaction. There was only one person there who was noteworthy, an assistant named Becca. She was professional, courteous and answered all my questions, by far the best person I had contact with. The profile of this business seems to be get the money and show them the door. My confidence in them is very low.
