We stopped here for a beer before our dinner reservations at a nearby location. Parking is easy. The beer was ok. When we went to order our beers(and it was not busy at all)- it seemed like we were an inconvenience to him. If you are in the area, it may be worth a try but I doubt we will be back.

Afterglow Brewery is hidden in the "cut." Converted warehouses near the train tracks, and the trains run frequently. It is a cool spot with plenty of inside seating, and there is an outside party tent in the back. On my visit there was a food tent and the food was exceptional. They are also literally next to a taco spot. Tacos and beer equals a great time. What makes Afterglow extra special is they have plenty of TVs, which is an after thought in most breweries. On Sunday I got to watch every NFL game I wanted. Plus, they are dog friendly, kid friendly, and generally people friendly. The BEER:Kolsch Call kolsch 5.2% ABV... some citrus, maybe lemon peel. It was refreshing.Sticky Situation session IPA 5% ABV... not my favorite flavor profile, east coast hoppy, quite dry, definitely all day crushable Sprocket Surgery IPA 6.7% ABV... Wow, thus has a burst of flavor, slightly juicy, dankish, and so weird I got sandlewood, like that is a flavor, lolRedefined DIPA 7.6% ABV... YES. Everything I wanted in a beer. Fruity, hoppy, juicyI also had a full pour of the toasted west coast IPA and the Dad Vibz pilsner, but that was way later in the day on my second visit. Yes, I circled back around on this brewery because it was worth coming back. All the beer here is good, and the service is better than the beer. Okay, maybe they are the same.... GREAT!!!

The juiciest DIPA (Brain Science); the sourest sour (Mother Fluffer). Two of my favorites amongst a flight upon my first time at Afterglow on a Tuesday night. Their sour easily competes against Aslin's Volcano Sauce. Friendly bartenders; chatty, kind customers; live bluegrass music; a kickin' Laotian food truck for eats and a beautiful field out back with sunset view. Laid-back vibes. Was able to easily bike there and felt confident my bike was ok on the provided rack outside. Super clean bar and restrooms, too. Great time overall; I'm a fan and will be back.

My husband and I like checking out all of the local breweries, and I really enjoyed this one. There was live music, friendly and helpful bartenders, food trucks, and a small craft fair out in the back. Plenty of beers/drinks to choose from. I enjoyed my tangerine flavored one (can't remember the name). My husband said his was ok (Dad's Vibez). I think it may have been a little too lite for him. I look forward to coming with friends in the future because it seems like a great place to relax and gab the afternoon or night away. Check them out!

Came here to check out the beer and enjoyed my experience! The parking lot had a decent number of spots available, so we found parking pretty easily. I ended up ordering a flight so I could try a few different beers, and the bartender was super nice and did an excellent job. We ended up sitting in the outside area, which was pretty large and had ceiling fans (big deal!). My friend wanted to watch a particular game on one of the outside TVs and the staff accommodated him, so I thought that was nice. The beers weren't bad! Nothing mindblowing for me, but I enjoyed most of my choices.I would definitely consider coming back here to hang out with friends.

During my first visit I tried 3 drinks, and all were FANTASTIC. My favorite was the cider slushy. It was slow, so i was able to walk around outside and enjoy the quiet beautiful weather while the periodic trains chugged by. The other reason for my 5-star review was how clean the restrooms were. The items available in the restrooms were a nice, thoughtful touch!

I came yesterday and had a great experience.I really appreciate they have a parking lot- I typically avoid places in Norfolk because parking can truly be a pain but when I pulled up I was pretty excited to see they have a lot to park in. There were also a few people that bike and scooter there, which I found cool! The beverages are priced very well and there is a good selection, especially if you like seltzers. My favorite beer was the mother fluffer- hands down the best sour I have had in Hampton Roads! Hot food isn't available unless there's a food truck but they have snack foods like cookies, chips and cheezits. There is canned soda, chocolate milk and even apple sauce for kids to purchase. Board and card games are available to play. The outside area out back is big for the area but it does back up to the train tracks- it got a little loud at times but didn't take away from the experience. The covered patio was nice and there's also yard loungers and plastic picnic tables with umbrellas away from the awning. I would definitely come back and bring more friends.

A new brewery open in the railroad district of norfolk! Such amazing vibes & friendly staff! The beer I had was just fine compared to others in the area- but for just starting out I'm excited to see where the flavors of their beers will go. I had the lazy hazy IPA- which like I said for a hazy beer lover it was just okay- but they do have several other guest breweries on tap. The bartenders are friendly & the vibes are great. Kid friendly & the outside space is amazing. Chairs out back, live music, yard games, bocce ball court, TVs outside. For just starting out, this place has got it going on- I'm excited to see them grow!

This is a pretty hidden spot! There's a lot of construction going on everywhere, so it's hard to find. BEER: They have a wheat, light beer, sour, more than one IPA, and a seltzer. They do this interesting thing where they pump syrup into their base seltzer to give it a different taste -- didn't like that. I get what they're trying to do but it didn't work for me. I had their hef and enjoyed that. LOCATION: They have tons of outside space with a couple of TVs and even poopy bags for your pups. This could be a good place to hang out to watch a game with your friends. Will I come back? Sure!

My daughter and I attended a baby shower on a Saturday afternoon here. From what I understand it's very new. There are a lot of detours in the area at the moment so getting here was a little tricky. They share parking lots with a couple businesses as well so you may have to walk a bit around the corner. I noticed the parking spaces are a little on the narrow side. The outdoor space is pretty spacious. They have a good space under a good size tent. There are 2 large televisions under the tent and several more inside. You'll find a stage for live entertainment, and oversized games for the family. They have a good selection of beer. The employees are nice enough and friendly. I'd definitely come back when in the area.
