Afishinadovb Fishing Charters

Flew out from California for this. Showed up for a "private charter". They had two other people on the boat who smoked cigarettes when I asked them not to they smoked anyways and also made the boat more crowded - especially on a charter for 2 that already has a captain and a first mate. Then, Capt Kevin waited until we were out to sea to tell us that the fishing has been bad for past 3 days. Got absolutely shunked - gave us a discount but the trip still cost over $300. Requested a refund but he doesn't do Venmo or cash app and he made me call him and then didn't offer any method of reimbursement and just ended the call with "I don't know what you want me to say". It's less about the money and much more that he took us out knowing it was the 4th day of terrible fishing. We would not have spent $300 if we had be better warning.

I have nothing but great things to say about the way my family was treated today. Captain Kevin and his mate, John, worked hard to make today a successful and fun fishing experience. We left out at 7am and immediately began to troll. We caught fish as soon as we started. We hit a little bit of a lull after a while and Captain moved down a little and found where they were. Twice today we had fish on three rods at the same time. My (adult) kids enjoyed themselves tremendously today. We caught enough for us to eat and began tossing them back. First Mate John did all of the "work" so all we had to do was enjoy fishing. At the end of our half day trip we returned to the marina where Kevin filleted our fish and placed them into gallon freezer bags. I would love to go out with him again. On a side note: in addition to the fishing we saw several pods of dolphins swimming kinda close to us. We also saw sting rays in the water that had some size to them. There's a restroom on this boat.

Great guys! We had a great time on an inshore charter. The crew was very knowledgeable and made fishing very easy. Will definitely book them again this summer.

I would give 0 stars if I could. My family and I had an appointment for 7am on a Saturday. They call us the day before and try changing our fishing plans. That should have been our first hint that more was to come. They call us Saturday morning and cancel due to weather. Last I checked, people fish in the rain. We called other charters and they were all out fishing but we got cancelled. The sad part is, it DID NOT rain until almost 5pm! Our trip was from 7am until 1pm. I'm sure we would have had fun but we will never know. So, if you want to get your plans changed then cancelled, pick this charter! (LOL)

We took a risk driving four hours to go fishing with Afishinadovb having never worked with them before. I am so glad we did! Three of us spent the day with Captains Kevin and Ken. They were professional, knowledgeable, friendly and fun! There was a weather delay for our trip and Kevin immediately got us rescheduled for a time that still worked for us. When the fish didn't seem to be biting, I was grateful for the crew's expertise. They found us a new spot and we quickly caught our shark limit and ended up having to throw some back. We will definitely go fishing with Afishinandovb again-and this time we will bring the kids!

Whether avid or novice fisherman, these gentleman were amazing. Never once did they get frustrated with us that kept losing bait, but were extremely patient and helpful. Bad weather was in the forecast during our excursion, but the team was determined that our group get fish and they did not fall short of their promise. I would recommend this charter to anyone in the Virginia or Sandbridge Beach areas. They made our first experience a great one that we will be checking out fishing charters during all of our future travels.
