I cannot emphasize enough how amazing my food was! I'm typically very picky when it comes to my food. So when I tell you everything was incredible down to THE ROLL, I mean it and I'm extremely impressed! I ordered the smothered porkchops, Mac & cheese, fried cabbage, mashed potatoes, and fried fish. Great portion sizes, prices, and foodWill definitely be returning!

My supervisor ordered a few entrees from here So we got to try the wings and the pork chops The yams and the green beans The wings were tasty and not too dry the pork chop was a little overcooked it may have been prepared ahead of time and just reheated for our meal. The yams were delicious the green beans are a little salty for my liking I love the decorative selfie wall and the location It is right across from the Nansemond Brewery which serves amazing beers but does not have a regular food menu. Having a southern food spot within walking did is a blessing The staff seemed very nice and on point Hoping this becomes a staple for Main Street So far so good

Just when I was trying to unbig my back...this place came up on tiktok. I'm mad about it because I will be a regular and remain fat. When I went in, there were quite a few people there, but the dinners came out fast. Food is delicious! The young lady at the counter is definitely an asset because she is so sweet! She knew a few people by name. Turkey wings, mac n cheese, yams, potato salad, fried cabbage, and banana pudding cake. I am so glad Suffolk has real Soul food. No need to cook on Sunday. Love it! P.S. The banana pudding cake is so good it should be a sin.

Really great little southern restaurant in downtown Suffolk. We had the fried chicken, which was cooked perfectly and full of seasoned flavor. The string beans side were also seasoned amazingly and made a nice compliment. We also enjoyed the mac and cheese. They're located right across the street from the Nanesond Brewing Station (which allows you to bring in food), which we were visiting. We spotted them and called over. They were super-friendly and helpful. They offered to call me back when the food was ready when I mentioned I was at the brewery. That made for basically zero wait. This was a really good meal with some good local beer. They also seemed to be doing a good buinsess with people in the neighborhood. I don't get to Suffolk much, but I would definitely go there again when I visit this brewery

Food was delicious!! I ordered fried cabbage and it was seasoned just right. The customer service was great. I will be returning again.

Very disappointed with this place. I called to place my order for oxtails. I asked if they had oxtails prior to making my way over there and the young lady said yes. She asked if I wanted to pay over the phone. I asked if they had preference for method of payment and she said it did not matter, so I told her I would pay when I get there. I also told her it would take me about 25 min to get there so no need to rush my food. When I arrived to pick up my order she tells me they ran out of oxtails and since I did not pay over the phone they did not reserve my order. Needless to say I'll never get to try this place after they wasted my gas and they could really careless.

This food is AMAZING! I just recently moved here from Colorado and I have been searching for a local place where we could depend on delicious food. We found it!! We tried multiple dishes including the chicken wings, pork chops and oxtails !! Yum! Do NOT skip the fried cabbage! I had never had it before and I felt like my tastebuds have been missing out! It was soooo good. I want to sop everything in the onions and gravy that came on the pork chop and it came with a delicious roll just so I could do that! I would definitely recommend and will be back!!

Absolutely fabulous food! I had the oxtails with fried cabbage and rice... the strawberry cake was delicious! So glad I found this place! Laid back atmosphere with a very nice owner! I will definitely be back!
