Great food and drink. Service was great and friendly. Attend their first Bike Night and it was pretty cool to see all the bikes. Lots of Combat Vets Association folks there. They were all friendly and great dudes. Awesome night!

I don't have too much of a problem with the food here. In fact, my most recent meal was excellent--a crispy chicken salad which filled me up. My dad also enjoyed his fried fish meal (he subbed the "chips" for a salad). I'm sure for a sports bar scene, it's a great place in a small town to enjoy a game and eat a decent meal. The menu includes a large variety from made-to-order pizza, to burgers, salads, and appetizers galore. My biggest issue from my last visit was with the staff. Our server was overly friendly and flirtatious to my dad in a way that made us both uncomfortable. I could add some comments about what she was wearing but I don't know how to say it kindly or appropriately.I also could not stand having to see the busser mindlessly wipe a table in the same spot for nearly five minutes as he snapchatted and laughed with someone in the parking lot through the window. I know he was snapchatting because he was doing this at the table two away from ours, so his phone was completely visible. He came back about 15 minutes later and did this same routine, at the same table which no one had sat at since. To me, it is disturbing to see the person who is supposed to be cleaning the tables you are eating on, paying absolutely no attention whatsoever to the cleanliness. He literally wiped back and forth in the same spot on the table as he communicated with some person outside of the window and took videos. If you are going to goof off at work like that, at least do it away from the customers.Even though my food was great, I honestly have no desire to return.

The burgers are bomb here. Sometimes the kitchen is slow. But they make sure to make it right and I appreciate that. The owners policy for when a waitress makes a mistake though I DO NOT agree with. My waitress was sweet and made a mistake but she admitted and made it right.

This was my 1st time eating at this restaurant. My friend and I sat down and the waitress came over, didn't tell us her name, say hey, how are, or anything but, what do you want to drink (in a hungover sassy way)? We got pickles and gator tail for an appetizer, which came way, way over fried! I ordered a buffalo chicken sandwich, when asked, the waitress didn't even know what kind of buffalo sauce it came with. I asked, is it like Frank's Red hot or Texas Pete? She said I have no clue.....well it is your job! That came out and it tasted like the chicken was fried in week old grease and yes, this was also over cooked, along with the onion rings! I doubt I'll ever go back. This was the 2nd time my friend went to this place and the 1st time he gave it one star then, so not much improved over a 3 year period! I wish I could give it a 1/2 star!

Great food! Great service! I called in beforehand to request a specific game on TV and they were really accommodating. They found our game and even put a kid show on for our little boys to keep them entertained. Loved the nachos and pizza! Great management!! Awesome experience!! :)

It is what it is an OK spot for a good burger, club or chicken sandwich, the wings are also good. We mostly get the wood fired pizza, for NC and VA its pretty good pizza! Ask for the New York style if you want a large otherwise you will get one size fits all, to us its a medium. The bar always has customers ( so I am assuming the food drinks and service at the bar are all good). For an appetizer try the Gator bits

There are very few things AJ's does well; food isn't one of them, excessive beer taps isn't one either. What it does do well is get you hammered, and for this I applaud them. There are nearly zero other places in Moyock that you can go to to forget whatever bad day you had so AJ's is your one stop and only shop. Is the food terrible? no, but do not order the wings or the mac and cheese burger, they will leave you feeling sick and robbed of whatever money you spent trying to work on your six pack, it will be successful at getting you that highly desired dad bod.

Good pub fare but limited beer selection. Would like to see some craft beer on the menu. Had the gator tail appetizer and was pleasantly surprised. Very yummy. They sat us down immediately and our waitress was very nice and attentive. Good casual spot.

Politics, huh? Never encountered that here before.Made a joke about the current Bud Light drama to the bartender (when asked what I was drinking, I said anything but bud light) I then received a brief lecture on gay rights and how so many other beer companies did something similar. No. They didn't, except for maybe Boston Lager. Look. This is rural NC. People here don't need to hear about that crap. That's blue state and urban nonsense. There are at least four churches in less than three square miles in this town. Just where do you think you work, lady? Takeout was quite bad as well. Done here for at least the rest of the year. Maybe the staff will be turned over by then. Bye.

We have a large party...called ahead. There are not enough high chairs or booster seats. The "manager" in a Florida Gators shirt is terribly rude!!!! Found out later her name is Shelly! When we go to dinner we spend no less than $100. There were four families celebrating a birthday! I originally gave this business one star because of how rude and poor at customer service Shelly was. Fortunately for the owner the hostess and the other waitstaff that's Saturday night were amazing. There were a couple bumps in the road with the food runner but that is to be expected with a large party. The food was great and again the waitstaff and hostess were amazing! I will definitely return but only if Shelly will not be interacting with my party for any reason!
