A&j Fresh Meat Market

A great little butcher \ meat market in Cheriton VA. Fresh organic chickens, hand cut fresh steaks while you wait, fresh ground burger, also some fresh veggies. A small shop but also offers some frozen items and now has beer and wine. They do a really good job and we usually always buy our fresh meats there now. It is a good idea to call ahead because they do sell out of items, especially the fantastic whole organic chickens. If your anywhere near Cape Charles this is the place to buy your fresh meats. They also have things like fresh Turkey wings, and pork chops.

I didn't realize this place had lunches until today and I was happy to discover it! The turkey hoagie and meatball sub I had ordered were perfect in my opinion. The turkey had a ton of meat on it, very fresh veggies, and zesty Italian seasoning. The meatball was perfectly toasted on a hoagie roll with some of the best meatballs/provolone I've ever had. Matt the owner is very professional and seems to be doing an excellent job with growing his business. I highly recommend this place to anyone passing through the shore with a big appetite!

Was just there the other day. Had a Roast Beef Hoagie. It was excellent. Meat and cheese was fresh, and toppings were delicious as well. I would highly recommend stopping in and trying one if you happen to be passing by or live in the area. My only disappointment was when I finished it I was back in NYC and couldn't get another one.

Great family owned butcher shop. Everytime I have walked in to this shop the butcher (owner) always asked if there is something he could cut special for me.The steaks are to die for!When on the shore, please get your fresh meats from A&J in Cape Charles just off of Route 13, you will so glad you did!
