Very excited to try this place out been wanting to go really bad to try a burger to be honest with you when I seen they had a karaoke brunch. I thought this is gonna be fun so me and a friend decided to go.So glad they have their own parking lot cause that can be challenging down in that area. I had a reservation, which was very nice because it was very busy if you're gonna go to brunch I really suggest you do have a reservation. The menu is very limited for brunch. There's quite a few egg dishes not too much as far as what we call a sweeter brunch like French toast pancake, and waffles very very limited. I will tell you I decided to order the cinnamon roll pancakes they were hands-down one of the best pancakes I've had. They were very big and they had a really nice cinnamon swirl going through them. They were extremely tasty. It came with tater tots that were deep fried. Nothing special my friend ordered the fried green tomatoes with pimento cheese. I have to say it wasn't very appealing. it looked very dry. I asked her how it taste and she said it's OK. She probably would not order it again. She also ordered the shrimp and grits. They were very dry. They looked very dry and she said they were very dry so she was not too happy with her breakfast. We did have two expresso martinis. They were very good.So for the karaoke, brunch people were singing it was a little loud for the amount of people that were in there. It was very hard to engage in conversation with how loud it was when people would sing. It seems as though everybody enjoyed it and had a good time we were going to get up and sing, but it was so loud that we decided we were just gonna leave. One key thing make sure you double check your bill they overcharged us for our espresso martinis. Luckily, I noticed it before we paid our bill. They were very nice about fixing it. It was no problem at all, but just make sure that you're being charged correctly.I will tell you I was surprised that they are known for their burgers, but they did not have not one single burger on the brunch menu except for eggs Benedict with a burger and I'm not a person that likes eggs. I asked if I can get a burger and they said not until after 4 PM so if I can make one suggestion being that you are known for your burgers, could you please put a burger on your menu for brunch. Maybe do instead of the traditional chicken and waffles do chicken and burger. Will we come back of course we'll come back even if we just come for the espresso martinis.

As someone who loves a good brunch, I was very excited to try 80/20 Burger Bar with my friend. Thankfully, there was a parking lot right next to the restaurant so we didn't have to find street parking. The doors were opened right at 11am (our reservation time) so we were able to be seated right away. Our server quickly greeted us with menus and we started with Espresso Martinis, which were amazing and only $7! Winning!!! Since I love fried green tomatoes, I decided to try the FGT Stack along with Shrimp & Grits. The FGT Stack were two fried green tomatoes topped with pimento cheese and jalapeños. The tomatoes weren't seasoned at all but the pimento cheese and jalapeños gave it a bit of flavor. Unfortunately, the Shrimp & Grits were very dry. I found myself eating the shrimp, sausage and veggies from the top and barely touching the grits. My friend ordered the Cinny Roll Pancakes and they were absolutely phenomenal! At the beginning of brunch, the DJ was playing a mix of different types of music, which created a really nice vibe. Soon after, karaoke started and as entertaining as it was, it was extremely loud. My friend's " loud noise alert" went off on her Apple Watch, which indicated the volume levels were very high. I love karaoke but wish it wasn't as deafening, we could barely hear each other speak across the table. Overall, the best part about our brunch were the $7 martinis and the pancakes! I wasn't a fan of my food. We both thought it was ironic that a burger spot didn't offer burgers for brunch but maybe it's something they can consider. Our server inadvertently charged us more for our drinks but thankfully, my friend caught it and he quickly corrected it. I'm not sure if I would return for brunch but I would stop back in to try their burgers!

This was my first visit here. My sister loves this place! First things first we arrived around 520 (it opens at 5) and there were already several tables seated. We sat quickly and were greeted quickly as well. We ordered drinks, apps, and meals. Everything was really good. The veggie burger wasn't the best I've had, I wish the texture was better. But everything else was amazing.

Came in for some live music. Luckily we had a reservation because it was packed!! The music was great and I was surprised at how quickly we got our food based on the crowd. There were so many yummy options it was hard to choose. I got the loose screw burger that had mushrooms, Boursin cheese & pork belly. The burger was huge and flavorful. I would have preferred the pork belly to have been sliced instead of one huge piece. I cut it myself so it would be easier to eat. I got the garlic Parmesan fries ma they were pretty good. I think I would try a different seasoning next time. Definitely will come back again!!

Cool atmosphere and decor is nice and modern. Service was great! My party wanted to try this place, but wasn't in the mood for burgers. I decided to try their side dishes instead. Ordered deviled eggs, and they we're so delicious! I could of ordered another. I tried the Caesar Salad and that was also good. They provide big portions, so I was definitely satisfied of my order. I will definitely come back sometime and try their burger, but the side dishes we're also satisfying for me. They do also host events and live bands from time to time, so definitely check them out!

Will definitely go back to try their specialty burgers! My friends and I were here for the Mardi Gras Burlesque Spectacular and this place is so hip. Ambiance is friendly and inviting. There's a bar where you can watch shows, with ample space to mingle. I ordered side of beets served with tsatsiki sauce and goat cheese salad (spinach, dried cranberries and glazed walnuts). Both were delicious, the beets didn't have the earthiness taste of fresh roasted beets, more like canned ones). My friends ordered deviled eggs which they said were on the salty side and their Caesar salad didn't have the Parmesan cheese; while there was a whole lot of lettuce, croutons weren't crunchy. I'd say goodnight was a 3.5 ambiance was a 5 service was a 4. Will definitely come back on a non event night, maybe the kitchen was just overwhelmed.

As a self-proclaimed Hampton Roads burger aficionado, I've made the pilgrimage to 80/20 not once, not twice, but a glorious 3 or 4 times in the past two months. And let me tell you, folks, my burger taste buds have reached nirvana! The build-your-own concept is my happy place. It's like unleashing your inner burger architect, crafting a masterpiece of flavors and textures between two pillowy buns. And speaking of those buns, they're the perfect balance of soft and sturdy - holding that juicy behemoth together without caving under pressure. But the true star of the show is the beef. Those patties are fresh, flavorful, and cooked to absolute perfection. Each bite is a symphony of juicy goodness, a testament to the quality ingredients and skilled grill masters. And the options, oh the glorious options! Protein-wise, you're not just talking beef (though they do it oh-so-well). Lamb, turkey, and even veggie burgers make an appearance, catering to every dietary preference. The cheese selection is equally impressive, from cheddar classics to adventurous blue cheese for the daring. But the burger journey doesn't end there. Their fries are a crispy dream, light and fluffy on the inside, with just the right amount of golden crunch on the outside. And the seasoning options? Forget ketchup (although they have that too, for the traditionalists). We're talking garlic parmesan, spicy cajun, and even truffle salt - a flavor fiesta for your fries. Now, I'll admit the lamb burger was a bit of a curveball. While undeniably unique, the texture wasn't quite my jam. A tad too gummy and chewy for my personal preference. But hey, that's the beauty of the build-your-own option - explore, discover, and find your perfect burger match!Speaking of service, it's always been friendly and efficient. They get you fueled up with burger bliss in no time.If you're searching for the ultimate burger experience, look no further. Just be prepared to come hungry, unleash your inner burger builder, and prepare for a flavor explosion that will leave you wanting more.See you again soon, 80/20!

80/20 is one of the best burger and appetizer spots and the best part is that they're open late! You can either parallel park on 21st St or if you're lucky, you can park in the lot behind the restaurant. Easiest street parking would probably be available on 20th St. The appetizers are fantastic. Every appetizer I've had has been good but I keep coming back for their spinach and leek dip and their mozzarella sticks. The dip is creamy and flavorful. You can get your fries topped with the dip! The mozzarella sticks are thick and have the perfect cheese pull. You can dip them in the marinara or an Alfredo sauce. The burgers?! You really can't go wrong. All of the ones I've had have been amazing. Down to the one covered in puff pastry! There are lots of options, you can do their regular burger, a meatless burger, or even a bison burger! Not only do I recommend this place for late night eats, a casual lunch meet up, or delicious dinner, but they have good brunch too!Service is good; I get what I order, my box, and a check. It's a very chill environment. Big dive bar vibes but one step up in casual dining

The owner and manager have decided politics is more appropriate at their bar than customers returning. While providing an honest private critique, I've effectively been told don't bother coming back because they prefer to whine about their customers sitting at their own bar.
