The service here was very good. You do need to make reservation here during the weekend, and they do restaurant week here. The waiter and waitresses are very sweet. The drinks here was pretty good, both of the drinks I got were not too sweet and not too heavy with the alcohol. The appetizers here are better than the main dish in my opinion. The main dishes were pretty salty and the meat was very dry (I got the duck). If you are looking for a good date vibe, this is a good place to go for some small plates. There is street parking, but I recommend parking at a garage a block down the street.

When you walk in you get the old fashioned fine dining feel. The decor was old school, but I did get the fine feeling. I ordered light tonight shrimp cocktail and Ceasars salad. The cocktail had big prawns, so I was pretty happy with that! Plus who can go wrong with Ceasar salad. Will come back for special occasions

We went to 456 Fish for happy hour before a show at the Chrysler. Joe was our bartender. He made us feel welcome the second we sat down. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly efficient. He got the drinks to us so quickly and with a smile. We asked about going outside and he asked the owner to turn on the heat for us. We ordered appetizers, and he took our orders without writing them down, and he was spot on! What a lovely experience! The food was delicious but the service was superb!

Hubby and I have been here time and time again. This visit was with out of town family, after burial of my uncle and cousins father. He had been her for 10 days and just wanted a good meal and finally a drink. As fortunate as I am to have grown up in NYC, and the Boroughs restaurants being a chefs daughter. My cousin dining with us is a well-known Dallas chef. I wish I was a fan of some of his clients. GO RAVENS! Trying to not drive too far, their hotel was just around the corner. Here is where I decided to dine. Reservations were short and sweet to make. Arriving about 10 minutes, we stood outside, and He reminisced about how much Granby Street had changed and then went inside to be joyfully welcomed to 456 Fish. I sent up a silent prayer for this to be a great dining experience for them. Our hostess offered to check our winter coats.. We sat in a cozy booth and immediately checked out the menu. Not knowing that it was Norfolk restaurant week. The Restaurant Week menu offered 3 course specials. Appetizers, entree and dessert. Hubby and cuz went for that option, and his wife and I decided to share the ginormous fish and sides. I sampled some of the She crab soup , and easily I could not stop devouring this rich, flavorful, more of a chowder than soup. The fish well fried lightly floured fish was a great choice accompanied with a cold salad of pickles mixed zucchini and very undercooked day Jasmine rice. We were offered smashed potatoes when I mentioned the rice was not edible. Hubby enjoyed his steak, nicely pink in the center. I guess I snapped picks too quickly and lost it. Overall, the meal I really wanted to be impressing to my dear cousin, the celebrity chef, was just a decent meal with great company. Our service was professional and swift.

I absolutely loved my grilled tuna with beets, and I loved our appetizers, too - calamari and the baked feta! The atmosphere is nice and relaxing, great place for a nice date night. Our waitress seemed a little overwhelmed, so somethings took awhile, but overall I would recommend this place. Check them out!

Ambiance is wonderful. 4 stars. Service 2.5 stars, it was great until we got seated, our waitress didn't check up on us nor did she refill our water unless asked several times. Water flowing on booth dividers, great place for romantic dinners and ladies' night out. My friends liked their calamari and salad order. My salmon order wasn't what I'd expect: salmon was dry, yes I ordered medium well but I've been to plenty of restaurants where medium well was still juicy. The risotto wasn't smooth and creamy, it was coarse and grainy.

I stopped by 456 Fish with my friends before a concert , it is in the perfect location to everything and in our case close to our venue , The Granby Theater. Walked in and everyone greeted us with smiles . It is beautiful inside, lights are dimmed, it's intimate and calming. First, we had the baked feta and fried calamari. This was my favorite part of the meal! I loved the sauce with the baked feta . It was warm and delicious. The bread was delicious! The fried calamari was yummy, very seasoned. My friends grilled tuna looked excellent, I should of gotten that . My salmon was tasty and went very well with the risotto. Parking lots are all around and convenient.

We were New Years Eve diners. We were seated at 6PM and did not get out until 9:30 PM. Granted, we were a large group, but the place was not super busy. We waited well over an hour for our food, then it was not all served together. The quality was sub par, and not close to expectations of an expensive restaurant. Avoid this place. The whole group was left stunned at how bad the food was. The appetizers were actually better by far than the main course. Needless to say, no one ordered dessert. This is not my wife and my first bad experience here. We swore them off several years ago before the pandemic. So, they can't blame that. We only went back this time since the group organizer made the call. That person and most in the group agreed that this time is off our list.
