1st Down Sports

Military Circle mall's indoor "flea market" of sports merch, just a bit cleaner/brighter and a tad more organized. Inventory sorted by sports team: pro in front college in back. Select from socks, pens, lanyards, flags, shirts, glasses, bumper stickers, and other team branded memorabilia. On 2 visits, prices were reasonable but be warned they're invented on the fly based on who's working vs who's shopping. A baseball hat quoted @ "$10" by male employee on first visit; same hat "$15" lowered to $12 by female employee on visit 2. Use this to your advantage as this indicates there's wiggle room. PSA: as the window signs indicate, they've been trying to close the store for about a year which means no new inventory coming! I learned the hard way that if you see something you like, make an offer or else it may not be there when you return.

This is the MacArthur Mall location. The locator to check-in has been off for months. I have been to this store twice.The store has presented nicely on both occasions. Today's visit the clerk immediately assisted me. However, no follow up other than pointing me in the right directions. I needed more than that with sizing.The store has a lot of sports merchandise, it may be what your looking for. However, I have never been able to find what I needed. They have little youth sizes and that has been the issue.Give them a try because there are not a lot of these type of large big box stores with professional team licensed merchandise. Just myself, but I probably will not be back.

If you're a sports fan who has everything or know one, 1st Down Sports is a great place for gifts. From the standard NFL hero jersey to the quirky full sized posters of your favorite NBA star, this place has it. I don't know much about sports, but I'm sure your sports junky will have field day. The store seems to focus slowly on national sports teams, so you may need to look elsewhere to find your favorite foreign soccer team or your local college hero's memorabilia.

Ridiculous!!!! Drove from Williamsburg to get a jersey, they didn't have it but said they could order it. They said I would have it in 2 weeks, in time for Christmas. Well 2 and a half weeks go by and I call and was told they cancelled all jersey orders. I said well I already paid for it. They replied that I could get my money back. Sooo had to drive all the way back to Norfolk just to get a refund. Was short a Christmas gift because of them. Ridiculous!!!!! I will not be shopping there anymore!!!!! I will just order straight from the NFL shop!!!!

Unfortunately, I am quite disappointed in my shopping experience with this business. I made a purchase on line for a Christmas gift and the item that was sent to me was not the item that I ordered. The website did not give a phone number so the only means of contact was by email. I have sent three emails to try and correct the problem but the only response that I have received is merely a tracking number. I have explained the problem and even told them I would be willing to drive the 3 hours to their location to correct the problem but have yet to hear any reply. My next course of action may be to contact my credit card company and dispute this purchase since I cannot seem to get any reply to correct the problem. I really only want the correct item that I purchased and in addition wanted to make additional purchases for other products but I am not sure that will be possible at this point! I have never had a problem with any other on line shopping.
