Gotta love Austrian white wine with a pop top.
A lot of wine in a small space!

A gem tucked into the center of Columbia City. A great selection of wines from around the world. Owner is great and has lots of good recommendations. Definitely some uncommon finds in store too - Lebanon, Romania, Morocco... Try something new! Join the email list for tastings and specials too!

Excellent, lovingly curated selection. Speak up for help or guidance---- such knowledge simply isn't available in the big-box or large wine store chains.

I frequent many of the Columbia City establishments as I used to live in the neighborhood. I've always passed by this shop and it was the only place I've not visited. I came in a few times but the service was not very inviting so I left without purchasing anything. I decided to give it another chance, so I came in a few months ago with a friend just to try out their Thursday wine tasting event. The woman that was presenting her collection practically ignored us and spoke over us to serve another couple that came in. When we tried to ask questions about the wine, she was dismissive and succinct but noticeably charming to the other customers. I caught a few eye rolls as well. My friend and I ended up leaving to purchase wine at PCC instead. I believe the guest's name was Maria. And not only that, some of the wine in her collection tasted atrocious. This neighborhood is changing quite fast and it comes with both the good and bad. Despite living here most of my life, it's shops like this who prefer to cater to certain clientele over others that make some local folks feel excluded. I've not felt unwelcome in a Columbia City shop or restaurant before until this experience. I will likely not come here again.

So much of enjoying wine is sharing an experience. This starts at stepping into this store. This shop moved down from Capitol Hill and I couldn't be happier. It is a cozy location with a great selection. The owner loves to chat and has a brilliant wealth of information! I described what I just bought at bobs meats and he darted around describing wines to pair. It made me feel like I was the only person in the store.Prices comparable to other stores. The experience is what takes it to the next level.

I absolutely love Vino Verite! I've been a member of their wine club for at least three years, starting at their old location in Capitol Hill. I drive down from Capitol Hill every two months for a visit. The selections are always great, and my guests are always impressed by my "amazing taste in wine"...which is all thanks to Vino Verite. Every time I pick up my club wines I always get a few more bottles based on the owner's recommendations. Please stop by if you'd like to learn more about wine. They have great tastings on Thursdays and a bottle in any price range.

I love this place: a really fabulous neighborhood wine merchant.Dave is the owner. He loves wine, and wants everyone to love food wine and drink good wine too!I come in at least once a week and at first felt a little silly with the vague wine questions I asked, but that dissipated quickly. Feel like a quiet night alone in front of the TV? They have the wine for you. Something for a cool spring day on the patio with friends? They have it! A refreshingly tart after-work wine? On it!Dave always has the greatest recommendations, especially on a budget. Often, they'll have bottles available for tasting. And you get a discount for multi-bottle purchases. This place also has a fantastic wine club: 3 tiers from $30 - $60. Great wine, great prices, great people!

I stopped in briefly while exploring the area with my friend. It was my first visit to Seattle and I really enjoyed the neighborhood. This wine shop caught my eye so we stopped in. I'm a sommelier and I'm a huge fan of locally owned wine shops. I stopped in to explore. They had some cool bottles from some great wine regions. The owner was nice and let us explore freely without inserting himself. We were in a time crunch so we couldn't stay long. We essentially just wanted an idea of what was available. Next time I hope to come in and actually chat with the employees/owner about wines. I'd also love to attend a Thursday night tasting. PSA: shops like this are a great way to learn about wine in general and get recommendations for new things to try. My friend and I plan to stop in whenever I'm in town so that we can pick up a bottle or two to enjoy. This plan starts on my next visit, which is hopefully later this year. Extra points for having the inventory online for people to browse and research prior to coming in.

This is such a treasure in Columbia City! The owner is so knowledgeable about wines and will show options in all kinds of price ranges. It's a cute little store and an easy stop when you are planning to eat out at one of the many nearby restaurants as he is open until 7 on most days. Support this wonderful local business!
