Fabulous night. From start to finish. Our server, Luis, was the bomb. So fun, knowledgeable, and attentive. The Mussels were soo delicious. i wanted to drink the juice. The Handmade Pappardelle was delicious and so was the Sangiovese wine, that Luis recommended. Wish I wasn't so full.. The Tiramisu looked amazing.

Best Easter Brunch in the city!Clyde at the bar provided the most amazing service we didn't even consider sitting at a table!! Prosecco, Limoncello, Montepulciano!!!For under $50 this is absolutely the most extensive, beautiful, tasty Easter buffet in the city.Every Italian delicacy you could imagine was available. The salad and charcuterie buffet alone was more than I could imagine eating! Top that off with you get to select from almost 20 different items. Ranging from eggs Benedict all the way to sliced leg of lamb plus Vinci's famous pastas. The buffet included everything from Caprese Salad, cream cheese, stuffed smoked salmon, rolls, Italian, cheeses, and charcuterie, peeled shrimp, topped off with truffle french fries and so much more!!The entrée portions are huge, and the dessert buffet could not be missed. When is the last time you saw an entire tiramisu laid out before you? it was so silky and creamy with that perfect pop of coffee flavor. Pistachio rolled cannolis? Yea!!!Make plans now for next year at this old school, authentic, true Italian neighborhood gem!

Their ravioli is SO GOOD!! The spinach and ricotta filling is delicious and the brown butter sage sauce is so rich. Service was great and the place was cute. I absolutely adore this pasta and highly recommend every single person try it.

Delish. Our waiter was Luis who, as the rest of the Yelp reviews point out, was really phenomenal. The tiramisu was to die for. Very cute spot in a great location!

Vinci was such a pleasant surprise to me. I'm usually all about new trendy restaurants but I liked the location relative to a play we would be seeing afterwards and decided to give it a try. We needed a restaurant close to Steppenwolf theater so we could eat before the show and Vinci was less than a block away. I remember this restaurant from many years ago when I lived in the city and when I asked the hostess how long it it had been around, she told me 33 years. I can understand why this restaurant has sustained the test of time. Vinci was a great dining experience, with impeccable service, great ambience, and large portion sizes. We really had such an enjoyable meal there and we didn't feel rushed at all. Our server, Luis, was amazing, and guided us with drink and food recommendations. The restaurant itself is very interesting and had lots of different rooms and sections that all had a different feel. We were in the way back of the restaurant and we were impressed with how big this place was. It was also nice to be able to look outside and see people walking around Lincoln Park. When you first sit down, they bring you an olive oil and Parmesan mixture to dip your bread in and it thickens a bit so it sticks to the bread. I was the only one who got an appetizer and I started with the caprese salad. It was a mixture of cherry tomatoes and large tomatoes and it had eggplant as an added bonus. The balsamic was sweet and it was delicious and light. For dinner, I got the spaghetti dinner and it was SO good!! The pasta was mixed with roasted cauliflower, oyster mushrooms, squash, kale, whipped ricotta and crispy breadcrumbs mixed in. The absolute best part of it was the crispiness of the breadcrumbs and I've never had a pasta dish quite like this. My husband got a salmon dish over Brussels sprouts and quinoa that was delicious and it was a lot of food!! I also can't forget my Italian mule which was amazing. I'm not a big drinker but I loved this drink!!!As we were so close to the theater, we had plenty of time to leisurely finish our dinner and we all decided to order dessert. I had cappuccino cheesecake, which was the least favorite of my whole meal but still very good. They had a full range of desserts and one friend had a HUGE piece of tiramisu, another friend had crème brûlée and my husband had apple cake. It was such a nice, relaxing and delicious dinner with every course spaced perfectly. This is a great neighborhood spot and a perfect place to dine prior to Steppenwolf. It was also quiet so you could easily have a conversation. It would also be a great place to grab a drink as they have a great and large bar in front of the restaurant. Vinci was a win!

This is a lovely spot for a relaxed but not too casual meal, a neighborhood eatery with an excellent menu and very good food. We arrived for an early dinner and I ordered a couple of smaller dishes; the meatball appetizer and a small house salad. The latter isn't on the menu, but I asked if they could do a side salad, and our waiter said yes. The meatballs were delicious, and the serving was more than I could finish, so I took half to go. The salad was simple and fresh, with a very assertive balsamic vinaigrette. I even wondered if there was any olive oil in there at all, so added some from the plate that was on the table for bread dipping. Next time I'll get that dressing on the side. The staff here is excellent; friendly and helpful, and obviously proud of the food. I'll most definitely return.

Okay, so Vinci? What an unexpected delight. My sister-in-law and I stumbled in one late afternoon and sat at the bar for an impromptu wine tasting adventure led by the bartender.. who was basically our very own wine whisperer. Three Italian wines later, we were practically sommeliers, or at least we felt like it.The place has this rustic charm that screams, "Forget your troubles, you're in an Italian villa now." I've walked by a thousand times and can't believe I've never been inside. And can we talk about the free bread? Always the way to my heart. Ordered the roasted baby eggplant - hello, flavor gorgeous! Tomato and goat cheese were doing a tango in my mouth. Unexpected and fabulous, just how I like it.Vinci, you've made it to my local hotspot list. Already plotting a return with my fiancé for the full dining experience. So happy to have finally tried this place - Vinci's got us hooked!

I've been dining at Vinci for years. It's always been great. We went Jan. 30 and it was still good, but a few disappointments. First, the Saltimbucco was way too salty and the chicken was not tender. For dessert, the Diplomatico mousse was not as good as usual. The blackberries were frozen, not fresh. Also, I noticed the pictures on the walls were gone and, on a Saturday, the restaurant had no valet parking. Please, bring back duck on the menu.
