Came in on a busy Saturday morning, and the place was packed. It was a super casual restaurant, and played modern pop. I got the sausage mcvinal, and the homemade English muffins were super tasty. The sauce was flavorful and spicy, and would recommend. My girlfriend got the miss maple sandwich, and with the sweet maple butter, that was 100% the best sandwich. Highly recommend!Overall great breakfast stop!

A really, really good english muffin sandwich- which is saying something because I do not like english muffins. The english muffins are fluffy and doughy, unlike the ones you buy at the store that are chewy and have that weird after taste. I got the Figs on a Blanket which was smoked turkey, fig jam, arugula, pickled onion, and goat cheese. I added bacon for an extra crunch. The perfect combination of sweet and savory. The staff is very kind and patient. I forgot my wallet in the car and my brother had to bring it to me, but the staff was so kind about letting me wait and not making me feel awkward. The interior is very cute which local artist work hung up through out the store.

I came here on a nice and warm Saturday morning with a group of friends. The shop had a cute vibe to it, but seating was a bit limited. While it wasn't completely packed, it was still tricky to find a spot to sit. One thing I found really cool was the side window where you could order and pick up, perfect if you're on the move. The staff was kind and attentive. And there's a self-serve water station, which was a nice touch as well.I went for the GOAT breakfast sandwich with a jalapeno corn English muffin. It had an egg with spicy pesto and goat cheese. Initially, I didn't expect much because this shop is kind of tucket away from the rest of Union Square, but this was honestly a very good breakfast sandwich. It offered a really unique flavor profile compared to a typical bacon, egg, and cheese. My spice tolerance is pretty good, so I didn't find it unbearable, but I didn't appreciate the small kick that the sandwich had.Overall, it's a great spot for a quicker breakfast/brunch if you don't want to do a sit down experience. I would definitely come here again to try out some more items.

Excellent brunch meal here with friends. You have to go for the breakfast sandwiches. The fresh baked English muffins take it to the next level, along with other flourishes, and great combos of flavors. Noticed that they have specials. A couple of people in our party got a special sandwich- with egg and chorizo, on a special English muffin- potato chipotle. I imagine they were pleased- all the plates were empty. I got the Miss Maple- a maple butter cheddar and egg sandwich (love salty sweet) on the classic English muffin. They make the eggs medium, but you can request to have them made how you like. We also had a really good scone with lots of walnuts inside. The food is definitely made with care, including attention to all the ingredients. You can tell that they really like supporting local and are discerning (based on the jams, and products in the general store next door).

SO GOOD. If you're a fan of a bfast sandwich or English muffins, Vinal is the place for you! Definitely recommend ordering ahead (which is super simple to do online). Ordering and customizing the Sam-I-Am without egg and added vegan sausage. The way the muffin melts in your mouth is delicious! We ordered ahead but the inside of the restaurant looked cute!

Saw the hype, took the bait, got brother to drive and now he's hooked! I took a pack of four home to Phoenix, toasted golden brown to perfection paired with butter and jam one weekend, egg and bacon sandwich the next, almost cried when the fourth was gone,

I don't remember exactly why Vinal Bakery ended up on my list of places to visit, but making the treacherous journey all the way up to Somerville from Boston was worth it (or at least that's what I told myself after waiting in line). We came on a Saturday morning, and despite it being packed, the crowds came and went, so by the time our food was ready, we were able to snag a table. The space itself is pretty cramped though, so I wouldn't recommend coming in a group if you want to sit down. They do have benches outside though, for when the weather isn't so bad.I got the Flora with ham, and a spicy chai latte. I don't know exactly why they call it spicy though, because it tasted like a regular old chai latte. The sandwich was good though, despite me not really being a breakfast sandwich person. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back, but if I'm ever in the area again I wouldn't be opposed.

Best breakfast sandwiches in the area! We went around 8am on a Saturday morning and they were packed. Would recommend ordering for pickup online ahead of time. The Sausage McVinal and biscuit with maple butter were absolutely delightful. The Sausage McVinal (English muffin with an over medium egg, cheddar cheese, turkey sausage, spicy mayo) was a harmonious blend of savory and spicy flavors, with the turkey sausage adding a lighter twist compared to traditional pork. The biscuit was fluffy and buttery, perfectly complemented by the sweet and salty maple butter that adorned it.Despite the crowd, the service was efficient and the staff were friendly. They have a cute side window where you can pick up online orders. If you're in the area and craving a delicious breakfast sandwich experience, this restaurant is a must-visit!

I'd say 4.5/5 but gets bumped up because the service was extremely friendly and enthusiastic and it met my very high expectations. I love Thomas and his English muffins but these are really in a different league. Exceptionally chewy and airy. Super moist and flavorful. Honestly a perfect bread for the sandwich. Held up incredibly to the rich garlic butter and egg. Usually don't like cheddar in a breakfast sandwich but its sharpness paired great with the salty butter. Two nitpicks: I wish the tomato played a larger role. The slices were small and thin -- I was hoping for more it to star. Also $10 for a pretty basic sandwich is a little steep. Highly recommend. The shop was a little small but would be a great spot for a relaxing cafe breakfast.

Wonderfully delicious breakfast sandwiches and bakery items. This place is becoming a regular spot since moving to Union Square.
