Returned to one of our Favorite Italian Restaurants for a get together with some of our Fellow Globus Travelers. The food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. We were greeted with a "Glad to see you again"As always I ordered of the specials list. Which was enjoyed with a tasty Banfi Chianti. Ambiance was relaxed and the served me a huge ice cream since it was my Birthday. Love this place.

Ambiance is good but loud be prepared. The bread is room temperature. I couldn't finish the spaghetti Al Vongole. Small stones. Weren't washed enough. Sauce watery and tasteless. Spaghetti Alfredo is Ok. I couldn't The Carbonanara is excellent. I had to change cloth 3 times. It smell moldy.

We've been coming here for about 20 years and they have consistently served delicious food and drinks. I think majority of their wonderful, courteous staff have also been with this restaurant for just as long or longer. There is not a bad choice here, but I love their pasta dishes most. Their daily specials are always cooked to perfection. The only change I would love to see is swapping out that neon red maraschino heathen of a cherry for Luxardo cherries in their Old Fashions. It's an awesome Italian restaurant without having to drive all the way down to Little Italy.

I went here on a Sunday an hour before closing and was surprised to see the restaurant completely full. Definitely makes sense why, they are an excellent spot for Italian comfort food. There was definitely a good environment for a family dinner or date night. They have some specialties, which sometimes include homemade pasta, but this time I ended up getting the penne Norma. You could think of it as a deconstructed eggplant Parm. The servings are massive and lasted me Definitely more than one meal super comforting and the service was pretty good too.

Made a reservation at 6pm for Father's Day dinner. Easily got changed to 7 pm. Got seated right away. Menu, water and complimentary bread and tomato sauce served immediately. Host came and introduced the special menu and take drink order. Services are impeccable. There are booths, tables and bar seating, inside and outside tables. Cool deco. We ordered ahi tuna tower for antipasto, fruitti de mare linguine special, vitello piccata, and tartufo Villa Capri for dessert. All came beautifully deco and flavorfully tasty. The breads are sub par for Italian trattorias, that is the only complaint.

We were out running around at Sea World & when we got back we realized we had no food at our rental. We started looking nearby on yelp and this restaurant came up. It was an easy 9 yes' so we decided to pack back into the car and head out. The service was exceptional, when our table was ready they had pushed 2 tables together set all the silverware, everyone already had waters and there were 2 fresh baskets of bread. While we waited for our food I noticed that they recognized and greeted a lot of customers by their name and remembered quite a few people. (Great sign so many regulars on a Tuesday) we ordered calamari and prosciutto fig and arugula crostini to start and for dinner the kiddo got cheese pizza, and the wife and I split 2 entrees gnocchi with marinara and mozzarella and spaghetti carbonara. The food was simply amazing, the gnocchi was pillowy and delicious but that carbonara was unbelievable, rich and creamy with a heavy pancetta flavor throughout, without being greasy or fatty. I'm giving 5 stars on that carbonara alone, but everything was delicious. If I lived in the area I would quickly become one of their regulars. The restaurant was beautiful, clean and well lit and would be great for date night.

Great service, food and atmosphere. Corkage fee is $25 for outside wine bottles but their prices in general are in line and normal. The inside is a little small but for a small/medium size group it's great. Great pizza and pasta. It's located in the target shopping center and pretty easy to find parking in that shopping center.

Lovely Italian restaurant in Poway in the Target shopping center.I grew up in this area & I cannot believe it took me this long to try this place! They have covered seating outside. We came on a Thursday night & it was surprisingly busy, & we found out that they are typically busy so make sure to make a resy.Service was top notch & the food was great.Complimentary BreadCarpaccio di Manzo: Raw filet mignon. I know this sounds funky, but you have to try it. It is flavorful & tender.Lasagna Bolognese: This was a hefty piece! I liked how their sauce was slightly sweet because I feel like lasagna sauce can be a bit sour.Spaghetti alla Carbonara: So tasty & creamy!

We paid San Diego a visit for Father's Day to visit my boyfriend's dad. His dad was craving Italian and I found Villa Capri Trattoria & Wine Bar - and decided to give it a try. The service was great upon entering. We were greeted and seated right away, and our server took our order shortly after. We stared out with delicious bread followed by our main entrees. Bf's dad got the Spaghetti and Meatballs, bf got a Cesar Salad with Chicken and I got the Spaghetti alla Carbonara. Every dish was delicious and we left full and happy. The price was very affordable too so that was also a plus. Even though bee are not from the area, if we're ever back in the San Diego/Powys area, this place is definitely worth going back to. So if you're looking for good Italian food, give this place a shot!

We are from NJ and this food tastes the is closest to home we have found.The service is excellent, the staff is always very friendly and willing to accommodate and the ambiance is nice and casual....I had the chef special of sea bass that was excellent, perfectly cooked and well presented.My husband had the lasagna which was a huge helping enough for lunch the next day.We are so happy to have such an excellent restaurant so close to home that reminds us of "home".
