If you've been following me here on yelp, you know that I am 100% authentic when it comes to rating a restaurant no holds bared. Food is unquestionably delicious, service is excellent. Our server this weekend was efficient, super nice and she got our order exactly the way we wanted it. Ambiance is classic romantic. Date friendly? Oh yes! Although there's something distinctly warm, elegant and cozy about it's ambience that I'd highly recommend this place for couples celebrating their 30th to 50th wedding anniversary. I guess the only request I would have when I go back is to ask the Chef to add more cream on my pasta's red sauce. Other than that, it was excellent. We absolutely love this restaurant.

Service was good. Food was good. Ambiance good. Nothing too crazy here. Went for an anniversary dinner and realize I don't even know what the inside looks like because we sat outside. It was nice out....kind of on a busy street though. Dinner was overall good. Nothing to write home about and my pasta was actually way too heavy for me. I'm thinking an indoor dining situation might be more "fancy" or dnjouable. Not sure. Also, it's pretty much Valet only. You might get lucky and find a spot on the street but we didn't so we had to valet. On really busy nights they will close this off when at max capacity for the lot so if you have a reservation might wanna account for this or wear flats in case you have to walk a few blocks. Good news is it's a nice area for a walk

Came here about 2:30 pm for a late lunch. It was like a ghost town, and i think we were the only people there. Service was excellent, but I suspect it would have been no matter how many people there were.We all had salads, and they were wonderful. I had the Ceasar with Calamari, my aunt had it with chicken. The salad comes as full size Romaine leaves with thinly sliced squares of parmesan, and the dressing was a drizzle over it all. You need to eat it with a fork and knife, but it's well worth the effort. The Calamari was incredibly tender, with a very thin crispy crust. The chicken was also tender and moist.The salmon salad was the star of the table. The salmon was blackened but not obnoxiously spiced. There were so many flavors in one dish with the Candied walnuts, raspberries, and apples.This place is fairly upscale. Most guests (seen on previous visits) are dressed up. But I was embarrassingly in sweatpants and tennis shoes. They didn't bat an eye. Of you're in need of a date night, this would probably be a good bet. The martinis are icy and delicious. And we've sat in the bar and enjoyed the live piano player. Highly recommend.

Food is alright. Nothing super impressive. The best things I have had for the day was the wine ordered. My husband order a Merlot and I ordered something from Italy (asked for which ones not sweet, and went for the recommended one). Both were excellent. A+. We each ordered an appetizer (salad). The Cesar salad was cool and interesting (in the good way) but the mix green salad was pretty standard. Not worth the price. The Linguine Alla Luciana was prepared fine. Again, nothing so special about it. I could get similar thing at God father. So just that I think everything is over priced (except for the wine). Tried a bit of my husband's Pappadelle con funghi e Capesante. The white cream sauce was decent. The restaurant is quiet and inside outside dining areas are both nice. I think tables are too close to each other so you are listening to others talking. Also hearing staff talking about themselves getting in trouble because of eating during their break or something like that. It doesn't bother me but just think it's funny. I mean, I'd come to another location to try out some different dishes, but do I recommend for folks to try? Nah.. I can't think of anything so special about it but perhaps it's just that I didn't order the right food.

My daughter and I came in this evening for dinner. We had a reservation, which I highly rec as they got very busy for week night (Monday). It's a smallish cozy space, and would probably be a great place to bring a date for a romantic dinner. Anyway, our whole experience was delightful. We ordered the fried calamari and shrimp, the halibut special, and gnocchi. The calamari were so crispy light I could have eaten my weight in them. The halibut was a fresh, flaky, buttery slice of heaven, and my daughter's gnocchi were the best I've tasted outside of Italy! Their portions are very generous as well. Abondanza!!!This was my first time here, but it will not be my last.

We came here with group 5 people, we sat outside by tent where are spacious not overcrowded if you sit in the restaurant it self, they have heater too if you need it. Sampler app was good, i requested ciopomo with angel hair on the side but they bring it out with angel hair in bottom pan, they ask me if that's okay? Can you imagine if i send it back? I came with elderly so I don't want to make them wait. Chris was our server/waitres he was attentive, we got dessert for to go too.

Service exceptional, ambiance classical and lively, food meh. No matter what the dish, the meal was swimming in oil. They split our chicken piccata for us and included extra veggies and a dollop of pasta but the chicken was not tender and flavorful as needed. Instead, it was chewy...and oily. I did mention this to our server when she asked how everything was so hopefully it gets passed back to the chef. We ordered tiramisu and cannoli for dessert. They had the right texture but zero flavor as well. No, I didn't have COVID. lol.

Stopped in a whim! We were seated immediately! Began w the calamari and my children could not have inhaled it fast enough. Fresh calamari and fresh oil! Around the table we ordered the short ribs, lasagna and fettuccini Alfredo. (One with shrimp and one with chicken). Everything was delicious. I was suspicious of the short ribs because the pasta was unique and not what I was used to. However, it was delicious! Tender and flavorful! My kids enjoyed their fettuccini. The shrimp added could have been better shrimp. They used those baby shrimp. Overall, a great experience with delicious food.

Vigulucci's hits a lot of check boxes for a great restaurant...friendly service, romantic and elegant ambience, good food with good portions, and wine bottle options that are surprisingly reasonably priced given the fanciness and prime real estate location. Our waitress was fun and full of personality...I'll leave it at that :)Wine: This is a fancy restaurant, the cheapest glass is $12 and corkage is $30! But if you look carefully, there are few red and white bottles that can be had for $40 or less. So if you're at least 2 people get a bottle! $20 Calamari & Shrimp Fritto appetizer...I was skeptical given the price, but the portions are HUGE! It's twice the size of any fried calamari appetizer in San Diego, making this best deal in San Diego county! Its also really good! $35 Pappardelle con Funghi e Capesante...a delicious pasta with mushrooms and pan-seared diver scallops in a white truffle and brandy cream sauce. My one complaint was that there were only 2 scallops! Just 2! For $35, I was hoping for at least 4; 3 would've been nice...$37 Cappellacci di Manzo, wife's pick...big ravioli-like pasta filled with braised prime short rib in a porcini-peppercorn cream sauce and finished with aged asiago and truffle oil. Delicious! I just wish there was more than 5 pieces. The Birthday girl got a complimentary, and very creamy and wonderful, Creme Brulee...lovely! I really wanted to give Vigilucci's 5 Stars, I think I just needed 1 or do additional scallops in my pasta to make it a 5 Star. Maybe I'm just being fat and greedy...
