I am a sandwich fiend, and banh mi is easily a top 5 favorite of mine. I've had my fair share of banh mi's. Viet Citron has taken its place at the top of the mountaintop. By far, the best pork belly banh mi I've had....anywhere! Viet Citron sits in a beautiful modern and bright space. Sure the menu features pho, bowls, Viet coffee, and bubble teas....but banh mi will always be king. Too often I run into a version with an overly crusty baguette. Viet Citron has achieved a beautiful crust with the perfect chew. The aioli takes the sandwich itself to another level. But what takes this entire sandwich to culinary nirvana is the pork belly!! The somehow lite crisp is simply remarkable. Some things are you have to experience to understand, and this pork belly fits in that category. Having made crispy pork belly at home myself, I have absolutely no idea how pork belly can turn out like this. It only makes me further appreciate this mastery. Viet Citron....Where have you been all my life? Ok maybe you've only been around a few years, but I genuinely upset at myself for not coming sooner. Side note: in a world of cheap imitations...did I forget to mention how excellent the taro milk tea is?

This is one of the few Vietnamese places I enjoy in the Boston area. I'm a huge fan of banh mi and their Vietnamese crispy pork belly banh mi is one of the best. Prices are pretty steep, however their ingredients are top notch so you get what you pay for (around the $16-18 range). Their pho is nothing to sleep on either and their broth is very good, again pricy but you get what you par for. My impression is that the owner takes much pride in their food and it's actually refreshing to see an Asian restaurant put a higher value in their food that it deserves. The restaurant is on the smaller side and I assume that it may get difficult finding parking and seating during the lunch or dinner rush. Restaurant is clean and customer are expected to bus their own tables when finished. The only thing that's a bit distracting are the announcements of their security system when the front door or back door is opening. Wish them much success!

My go-to in the area for Banh Mi, so delicious!Adorable interior with plenty of space to enjoy your food onsite or to-go. Be sure to check the hours as they are a bit wonky.

Food is okay. The only gripe I have at this place is they will run out of "freshly" made items like spring rolls ... BUT ... they will not make more when you order. That's a head scratcher...so if you run out of freshly made things and refuses to make more...it just means those things have been made before hand and sat around until people buy them.Spring rolls are not hard to make nir do they take a long time to make folks! There are 5 line cooks and no one can make fresh spring rolls? That's a ridiculous notion in the restaurant and service/hospitality industry and unheard of in a Vietnamese restaurant anywhere unless you ran out of ingredients! This is pure laziness!

This is the best pho I've ever had. The 48 hour beef bone broth is so delicious, that I usually save some of it to have the next day even without the noodles or other toppings. The vegetarian egg rolls are *chef's kiss*. Everything on the menu (I've had most of it, all yummy) is made of high quality ingredients and there are no short cuts taken. Seasonal specials have introduced me to awesome Vietnamese dishes that otherwise I never would have experienced. The staff here are so friendly and accommodating. Take out is a seamless experience. I feel lucky to live close by so that I can enjoy Tran's food often!

Ordered the Vietnamese iced coffee and the beef banh mi and was pleasantly surprised. The coffee was super strong and thick, almost like a smoothie. It was so strong I could've split it into two cups and diluted it and it still would've tasted fine. The banh mi was also great! Definitely not super authentic as there was no pate, but that's what I prefer so I didn't mind. The portion size was huge and the meat was grilled perfectly. I wish it had some more picked veggies as the meat alone was pretty strongly flavored. The restaurant was clean and well air conditioned inside and the service was quick. I didn't try the pho but my bf got it and it looked kind of oily, so I'm not sure we will be back but it was a good meal!

The place was cute! With indoor and outdoor seating and plenty of plants, it gives the vibe of a cute cafe in Vietnam.Viet iced coffee (8/10): Huuuge cup! I sat in there doing work for 1.5 hours and only got through a third of my drink. It was really strong, a standout characteristic of cafe phe sua da, but I thought it was a little on the milkier side similar to creamer milk and not condensed milk. I took a peek at their menu for their food items, and though a limited selection, looked and smelled great. They also have a kids menu that serves in smaller sizes for kids to branch out to try new things. The staff was super kind and were approaching tables asking if they were happy with their orders and needed anything else. I would love to come here again and try their banh mi selections!

My sister and I ordered takeout from here which arrived about 30 minutes after they opened. Everything was well packed and labeled. They got everything right except for forgetting our boba in our thai tea. We shared an order of egg rolls and chicken banh mi. I tried their Phở Dặc Biệt while my sister got their plain pho. I really enjoyed the banh mi which had the fresh cilantro and vegetables on top of the marinated chicken. Egg rolls were still warm by the time they got to us so we quickly enjoyed them. The broth was seasoned well but not as clear as I would hope. There was a generous amount of beef especially flank included, almost too much for my preference. Overall, I enjoyed the meal and would order from here again but be warned that the prices are pretty high especially when placed for delivery.

Best Vietnamese food I've had in the Boston area! Pho is super flavorful and food quality of everything else I've had is superb. My favorite is the pork ribs plate but I've also had the sandwiches, pho. Sadly I have yet to been able to get there when they have specials like chicken pho, banh xeo though. Prices are a little higher compared to some other Vietnamese restaurants but you really are paying for quality like spices, cook times etc. You can tell the difference in their broth. Other places are bland and just have salt or literally deep fry their "grilled" meat. Over here you get the real deal! Really happy to have a Vietnamese place that pays attention to these details and quality, just wish they were closer to me! Keep it up!

Please please make the bahn mi how you did two years ago. How you make it now it's not worth the price. It just looks like you just rushed making them now...
