I've had countless friends and acquaintances recommend this place to me and I just recently had the pleasure of trying them out. After looking over the menu, we decided to order the garlic bread and the New Zealand mussels to share. Both tasted good, standard classics. For our main entrees, we ordered the shrimp scampi and the linguine pescatore. The shrimp scampi was plentiful in garlic, and the shrimp were pleasantly large. My mother, who I went with, claims this shrimp scampi was one of the best she's had in a long time. The linguine pescatore was good, with plenty of seafood. What was the most surprising was that the squid was cooked just right, not rubbery at all. Overall, the service was warm, personable, and attentive. The ambiance of this place gives off an old classic vibe, with low lighting and dark furnishing. Can't wait to come back again whenever I'm craving Italian food!

About last night! Was craving one of my favorite dishes at Vicinos- the orecchiette pasta with Calabrian peppers, shrimp, and roasted tomatoes on the spicy side. Chef prepared it from scratch- Thank you chef and Alyssa for making Tuesday night delicious! Above and beyond !

Great local Italian right by our neighborhood. It is a bit pricy, so we only go for special occasions, but wow wow wow is the food incredible! I had the Rigatoni alla Vodka and substituted chicken due to my shellfish allergy. We also got the calamari which was very tasty, but not as much of a hit as our pasta. The waitress was very attentive to my allergy and I felt assured in how my food was prepared. Would definitely recommend!

The Food and Service was amazing! The ambiance and outdoor parking lot area could use a bit of updating, (it's a dark, old school Italian vibe), but overall, an excellent experience! I highly recommend! If they added a lounge area with music and ambient lighting for cocktails and appetizers, I would be there all of the time! I didn't see the patio, but if they don't have fire pits and misters, add them too!

They were voted "Local Italian restaurant - Best of the Valley 2021."I've dined here about 6 times and really like the food and atmosphere. It's "nicely casual," and I always request one of the comfortable fabric booths instead of a table. You can see the fabric's nice pattern in a photo I have here. (Hint: ask for that, and yes, they do take reservations.)The Fettuccine Alfredo is perfect (like a legit Italian chef is back there in the kitchen)! It "consistently has the right consistency" (the perfect amount of creaminess) and the seasoning is spot on. I usually order Fettuccine Alfredo at any Italian restaurant, so I'm going to say that I'm a self proclaimed connoisseur of that delicious Parmesan sauce. I won't order it again if the sauce gets too thick by the time I finish it, and I'm an insanely slow eater. So, I rate their sauce and pasta highly.Believe it or not, the thing that I love the most is the Bib Salad! I always convince whoever I'm with to share one with me before the entrees, because it's that amazing. The Bib lettuce is always fresh and as soft as butter, the dressing (which they say is a balsamic vinaigrette) is like some secret recipe dressing. It's not acidic, it's slightly sweet, and it coats the lettuce, walnuts and thinly sliced red onions lightly yet brings all of the flavors together in a really incredible way. When you're finished, you'll want to eat any little remaining walnut piece that's left in that dressing.I actually even asked a server what was in it, but he wouldn't tell me. (Goat cheese comes on it, too. I just order it without.)The red sauce pastas are also good. I always "sample" someone else's dish at the table if offered. (I mean, they know I have to do my "Review Research.") The Penne Arrabiatta is indeed spicy hot! If you order it with sausage, the slices are about 1/4" thick and there's a generous amount.I would not recommend the filet. It's probably not what you would order at an Italian restaurant anyway, but my mother has ordered it twice, and it was overdone and tough. However the first time, the mashed potatoes were great (creamy, buttery & garlicky). The broccolini was so overcooked both times that she wouldn't eat it.The cocktail that I really love is a lemon-something martini. 'Sorry that I can't remember what's in it, but that can happen after I drink one. Haha For anyone else, it is plenty light, fresh & fruity & has sugar on the rim. (Picture shown.)They have an extensive wine list, too.The crème brûlée is a good dessert with a fresh strawberry garnish, but it's not the very best one I've had.Check out the photos to see the nice atmosphere, menus, delicious dishes & cocktail.

Food just okay. nothing memorable. The menu is totally over priced for the quality of food they serve. The restaurant needs to add more trendy menu items.Service. Excellent, our server Kristen was professional, experienced and respectful.Ambiance. Restaurant is too dark, fabrics are tired and need to be replaced. Bottom line, not impressed, would not recommend to diners who are on a budget and looking for an attractive setting.Would recommend diners try IL Bosco Pizza just down the street closer to Shea Blvd, on Frank Lloyd Wright. The restaurant is new, attractive and trendy. Pizzas are creative and delicious. Other Italian dishes available. Much better setting, reasonable and responsible pricing.

We had our first bad meal at Vicino's. The sea bass kept my wife up sick all night. She couldn't eat the spinach as it was very oily but tried to eat the fish. Recommend to stick with their pasta and pizza. We were also surprised that after dinner espresso and cappuccino weren't served with sugar or small spoons? Simply left on the table. Had to call our waitress back to ask and she seemed put out??
