I went here the other night and loved it! The ambiance is cozy and intimate, which made it great for what we were looking for. Immediately upon sitting down, we were taken care of. I don't think I've ever had service this attentive anywhere else. Our water glasses were always full and each course was timed well enough to where we didn't feel rushed but we also weren't waiting a long time, despite the restaurant being pretty crowded. If you're a martini fan, try the French Martini - it was a great start to my meal. The food was delicious. We started with the bruschetta which had generous portions for our group. The creamy mozzarella on top changed the game for me and now I don't want bruschetta any other way. I ordered one of my go-to faves at Italian spots - Rigatoni Vodka. Much like everything else, it was incredible. The portion was generous enough for me to have leftovers for the next day! Our group shared the tiramisu and cannolis and from the few bites I had, those were winners too.

5th time coming here! celebrated my boyfriends birthday with his family. As always inside is stunning. Service is good. Our waiter was very nice! We got the baked clams to start and the sausage and peppers. Both of these were great! I loved the baked clams with a little Tabasco. For my main I got the fettuccini and my bf got the vodka rigatoni. This rigatoni did not tasted like vodka sauce. Something was very off about it. It was not good. Fettuccini was average. Seemed a bit overcooked the noodles stuck together and were hard. I want to love it here but lately it has not been hitting. The birthday celebration was nice. They brought out tiramisu with a candle and sang. The Tiramisu was amazing.

Was happy to get a 7:30 reservation last minute on a Saturday night for a party of 5 .Restaurant was very busy when we arrived they do have ballet but when we arrived ballet was not out front we waited awhile thinking maybe they were parking or getting a car waited about 5 minutes still no valet. Spot in front opened so parked thereAt first service was very slow no one came to table we were not in a hurry so it was okPrices are on the higher side but portions are larger. I got the chicken Milanese it was very thick definitely not thinly pounded as it should be . Had a nice arugula salad with it and side of pasta thought for price and portion good dealOthers had Sunday pork gravy Alfredo and bolognese they were all ok nothing very wowing It was our Son's birthday and wait staff came out singing happy birthday with a chocolate cake slice and candle that was nice

Very hit or miss. I ordered the carbonara which was phenomenal, and my friend ordered the limone with chicken and it could not have had less flavor if they tried. The kitchen had swapped our, meaning I went home with the limone pasta instead of my own and was incredibly disappointed and did not finish the leftovers due to the lack of flavor. The service was outstanding which is what keeps my rating at a 3 instead of a 2. Our waiter was incredibly friendly and helpful and managed to check in with us throughout the meal despite being slammed. The restaurant was incredibly loud even at 9 pm, so we basically had to yell across the tank to each other.

I don't normally like to pay for fancy Italian food since my mom makes better than most. BUT LET ME TELL YOU. this was so worth it. Cute location in west loop, indoor is more swanky Italian than crowded cubby hole (IYKYK) and it's really charming. Good spot for a family dinner or a date, there were children there but I was personally surprised since the menu was more like elevated Italian. I got the chicken parm with tortellini and what a fun combo that was! Chicken was tender and juicy, cheesy perfection. My friend got the salmon and it was also really good! Really lovely food and atmosphere, I will have to bring mom next time and see what the chef herself thinks!

Visited the new Viaggio's for my Mom's Birthday on 6/3/23. My dad has been to the original location and kept wanting to bring us here and I'm so glad we stopped. We had an early reservation (this is definitely the move, there was basically nobody in the restaurant for the first 30 minutes we were there, then it got packed). We ordered- French Martini (not pictured)- Black Walnut Old Fashioned (not pictured)- Meatball Salad (not pictured)- Mussels in the spicy red sauce - Eggplant Parm- 3 Specials from that night- Pistachio Gelato and the Blueberry Cheesecake (not pictured)I highly recommend doing what we did and have everyone order something different and share. I was so impressed with how good everything was, I genuinely have no notes for this place. Our waiter was extremely knowledgeable and attentive, the ambience is awesome (on the darker side), and the food is incredible with extremely generous portion sizes. I will definitely be back here!

I have only ordered takeout, so I cannot speak to the ambiance or service. However, I can speak to the food. I have mixed feelings because there are some things I strongly disliked and some things I really liked. I have not had good experiences with the appetizers. For example, both the Baked Clams and the Fried Calamari were very fishy and we were not able to eat them. And I LOVE seafood. I love clams, mussels, oysters, scallops, calamari, squid, and all types of fish. But these were not good. However, for entrees, I have gotten the Veal Limone and it has been fantastic. I swap out the linguini for spaghetti since I am not a big linguini person. The lemon sauce is delicious and I also ask for capers to be added (veal piccata is not on the menu, so I make substitutions to get veal piccata ). But the serving size is big and can last me 2-3 meals and it heats up just as good as the first meal. It comes with around 3 big things of veal with the pasta. I highly recommend! For dessert, I am not a big cheesecake person, but decided to try the Vanilla Bean Cheesecake. I am surprised by how much I like it. I have now ordered it multiple times and I still love it just as much. I love the texture of the cheesecake and the chocolate on the top. The strawberry drizzle adds the perfect pop of taste that compliments it perfectly. So in summary, stay away from seafood, but the rest of the food and the cheesecake and phenomenal!

Viaggio is a great spot for a special occasion dinner. The food is great, the atmosphere is cozy and intimate, and the service is pleasant. It was very easy to book a reservation via OpenTable for our Thursday post-work dinner, although I'm not sure reservations were totally necessary, as we were only one of a handful of diners. We were greeted warmly when we arrived and promptly taken to a cozy table. Our server stopped by quickly after we were seated, took our drink orders, and shared the specials. We each ordered a pasta dish and both were phenomenal. Everything tasted super fresh, which was appreciated. Prices are a little high for the portion, but are on par with other West Loop restaurants. We split a Caprese salad to start, which was $13.00 for 3 slices of tomato, which felt a little steep, but the fettuccini alfredo was $23 and the espresso martini was $16, which is about what I expected for this area. I was disappointed to see that there weren't any happy hour specials, which makes Viaggio more of a special treat, rather than a regular spot to catch up with coworkers and friends. I'll certainly be back in the future. This is a great spot to bring out of town friends or for a date night.
