Via Roma

We went there with another couple for dinner. We brought a bottle of wine and ready to eat a delicious meal and we did. We each had something different and each one was tasty.It's a quaint place and a very nice outside patio if one prefers, especially now that the weather is on the warm side with a breeze to appreciate.Their desserts, as well as their meals, differs every day, with always something on the menu you want to try.So put Via Roma on your list to try.And am sure you'll come back soon.

just ate dinner here with my family and had a great experience! did not take photos of my meal but will detail everything.ambiance: very small, close space inside with tiny tables. they could not fit everything we ordered on our tiny two top. restaurant interior was very clean but kind of boring. really happy that they found space our stroller.service: host, servers, and busboy were all very attentive and accommodating. however, everyone was frantically running around in a very manic fashion. the small restaurant was decently busy on a Friday night, but i did not enjoy

Never fails to impress. The food, service, and ambiance are all a 10/10. The best pasta I have had in years. Absolutely worth the wait. Take advantage of the BYOB, no cork fee and glasses provided!

Via Roma is unmistakably good - whatever you order, you'll probably have a very hearty feeling eating here. Everything is homemade, delicious, and extremely filling.Though the menu isn't vast, the staples such as pizza, pasta, and risotto are offered. Not to mention, Via Roma brings a little bit of the essence of Italian cuisine to Des Plaines - using simple ingredients to let the natural flavors shine through and do the talking.If you're lucky enough to sit out on the patio, you'll have a nice outdoor dining experience and witness just how friendly the service is.

I tried out a local Italian restaurant in the neighborhood, which was good! The restaurant is a hidden treasure! We started with complimentary bread, and as appetizers, we got bruschetta which was good but not outstanding. As our entree, we got the rigatoni in creamy tomato sauce (kind of like vodka sauce) with veggies, and it was delicious! The sauce had so much flavor, and it was fresh! The service was excellent, and the inside of the restaurant was pretty tiny but decorated like Italy! I'd go back and try out more items from the menu! Tips: -tons of parking in the back -get there early during dinner time and/or on weekends because the restaurant is small, so they can seat you!

This is always a must-stop when i am in the area! Absolutely amazing and authentic italian food. The specials on the board are always incredible so i would definitely recommend trying if there is something that catches your eye. I have been going here for years, and have never had a bad experience! Just make sure to get there early, as there can be a wait!

The food here is to die for. For so long I have searched for that one special Italian dish that brings back so many fond memories, Spaghetti Carbonara. Not only did Via Roma have it, it was beyond incredible. My wife and I truly enjoyed this quaint and tastefully done restaurant, surrounded by hints of Italy. Molto bene, Vía Roma! I will be back my friends, I will be back.

Really good! Celebrated our anniversary here and enjoyed a delicious meal and excellent service. Appreciated the BYOB policy and no corkage fee. From appetizers to dessert, each course was delicious. Calamari was fresh, crispy, flavorful. The Rigatoni Amartriciana had the perfect amount of spice, and the pasta was cooked perfectly. Also enjoyed the Pizza Margherita. Brought home dessert, cannoli, and it was excellent. Service was outstanding. Nice atmosphere outside, if you don't mind the occasional Metra train. Highly recommend!

We had a party of 7 and loved Via Roma!Adorable restaurant with authentic Italian food! Lisa is the owner ( with her husband) and we loved her and our server. BYOB !

Risotto was delicious but the fettuccine cream pasta needed more flavor. Our server was not really attentive. She seemed like she didn't want to work. She did the bare minimum. She didn't make eye contact when she was speaking to us. Didn't mind to introduce or explain any menus when there is another server kindly explained and greeting at another table. Overall, food was not the best but we enjoyed it but they need to retrain their servers. As we walked out, we didn't want to not come back here because of the poor service.
