I'm not sure why Vespucci has not been on Yelp before this, but OMG - such good pizza!!! If they were open Friday's this would definitely be main spot for Friday night pizza!!We happened upon them at the Ballard Farmers Market - we weren't even hungry, but walking by it just smelled soooooo good, we figured why the heck not! So we stood in the line, in the heat and waited. The line moved slow, but honestly, it was kind of worth it! I got a slice of the Mario and hubby got the Margherita. The crust was delicious - reminded me of Rocco's (but hot, if you read my other review!). They were not skimpy on the cheese (always good!), the sauce had a lot of flavor and overall it was just really really good! I would go back for this in a heartbeat - I suggest you try it!!

I am so reluctant to make this review, because I know if I do the line to get this pizza on a Sunday will be even longer than it was...but... without being dramatic:THIS IS THE 2nd BEST PIZZA I'VE EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!!* IF YELP LET ME I WOULD RATE IT HIGHER THAN FIVE STARS!!!*(best is from my childhood and holds emotional top spot)I've been talking about how I'm from New York on this app almost each and every review I do. I'm Italian and I can't help but be a snob about Italian food and especially pizza. (Plot twist! I don't even like pizza; I don't like red sauce, unless my mom or my Nonna made it.)My boyfriend, who is also Italian , tried this pizza a few months ago , was blown away, and said I had to try it --but I refused because I didn't wanna waste calories on some thing I knew would disappoint me. He's been begging me to go back and try it and I said, I would only try it if I was allowed to yelp it, and he said sure! Today we went before the Super Bowl-- I wanted to have a pizza and I might as well get it from a place and make it myself. We were going to order two slices in a pie to go. I'm gonna spoil it: it didn't make it home. The two gentlemen making it were friendly and gracious and Humble. The slices were huge! Exactly how they should be! The smell would knock you out. The pizza was out in such a short amount of time because it Woodfire Grilled-- one of the biggest tests I have is a burnt crust, and this crust was perfect.First bite I looked up at him in SHOCK! Do you know that scene in ratatouille where the food critic is brought back to his childhood.? This was the same response. It brought me back to Tuesdays with my aunt at a local pizza shop back home in New York. The taste is something that I've never had on this West Coast, and something that has been changing on the East Coast. (More places are trying to be fancy and really it's about the crust, the sauce , the cheese and the love.) I will be back and this time we will buy two pizza pies, one for the ride home and then one for later.Bonus: my boyfriend and I let one slice get cold to see how it stood--Delicious even after it's freshness has passed.I swear if you've always wanted to try pizza from NYC--try this place. Tell them Dee sent ya

This pizza is AMAZING. And the sweetest, kindest, happiest man making the pizzas from scratch. Makes me want to go back daily!
