Versailles

This place is SUPER Russian. I've actually only been here for big dinner parties and occasions, so I can only judge on that. If you're not coming from a Russian background, you may want to skip this place. The dinner party food is pretty good. Awesome spreads. The blini with chicken, the stuffed chicken and all the filet mignon/steak dishes are awesome. There's always enough drink to go around. I've never had a negative experience with a waiter, but it could be because I speak Russian (though if you're part of a dinner party, they will take care of everyone equally.) The live entertainment ranges from pretty good to a little cringey. The crowd in the evening is definitely loud and rowdy, and usually pretty drunk but they're fun.

Great service and very cozy atmosphere. Was there several times with friends and family, everything was delicious.

OMG, real Russian food, Russian music and Russian atmosphere. I've been here maybe 20 times because its so close to my home and the food is soo delicious! If any visitors asking me for advice of good Russian restaurant, that would be my natural choice! Highly recommend!

Paid $215 for New Year 2020 and it was too much for what we got. Food was old and not juicy , everything was like regular Saturday night , but paid 3 times more . Also we arrived at 10pm, and they let us in at 10:30 pm.

Live music. Gourmet food. Hottest Europeans in Chicago. Whenever there is a birthday, graduation or any other sort of monumental occasion, my friends like to book Versailles and I like attending. 1) Venue: place has a huge dance floor and really cool club lights. Everyone dresses up here- and look even nicer than people who dress up to go downtown. I tend to think that European people dress really nice in general.2) Live music. There are a few singers who know all the classics and European (mainly Russian) pop/traditional songs. They really put on a show and everyone dances. You can reserve certain songs by tipping them, extra. 3) Food. The food is amazing. There are actually several courses from appetizers to dessert. The have stacked salad, classic European dishes like oliviyeh (Ukrainian salad) to blintzes and kiolbassa. They also have crepes with caviar, the best mashed potatoes, and different seafood and meat options. 4) DRINKS!!! Russian parties have the best alcohol- vodka, champagne, cocktails- they know how to party. Always a good time.Note: Bathrooms are smaller and they have a coat check.

First Russian banquet. Interesting. The spread of food, awesome, insane amount of food!! Food was acceptably delicious given that it was set up before guests arrive. Live music, dancing, more food, more dancing again, wow wow its a long night!!! Service was good. Food was good. Grey goose is always good.

Awful. Rude staff. Cramped quarters. TACKY lobby. Vegas off the strip style. But cleaner. We asked repeatedly for the music to be shut off in the lobby so we could hear our presentation but they kept turning it back on even though we were the only group in the building.

I would've given it 0 stars if possible. I have been there several times - food is just getting worse and worse. Service is terrible, not the actual servers though - the owner/manager has no idea what customer service is and his lackey Vartan thinks that he owns the place. Very aggressive and unpleasant person, "son of the mountains". Will avoid this place in the future.

This place use to be really good but sadly not anymore . Food is still good but service is terrible and rude! 1.Kids menu was different for each kid even tho it was suppose to be the same.2. But the worst part is when we loaded our car with flowers and leftovers and the trunk was open and we were standing by the car talking they just walked to the trunk (without even asking or saying sorry) took flowers and left when we asked what's going on "those r not your" it happened twice, without asking looking through our stuff!!! There were many more uncomfortable situations.
