On Tuesdays, they run a deal where the chicken tikka tacos are the 2011 price (around 4 each). I'm vegetarian and they were kind enough to sub the taco with paneer. Really tasty, fast service, and great deal! Plenty of outdoor and indoor seating, and validated parking.

Wasn't sure what to expect, but everything was really good. The quesa birria taco was the best of the 5 we ordered, with the angus coming in last. Everything tasted super fresh and was made quickly, but didn't come out ugly. The tots were extra crispy and worth every bite! The egg only added to the flavor. The staff was friendly and efficient. And the A/C was delightful after coming from outside in the blistering heat.

This place in the Music Row was absolutely amazing!!!!!Their tacos, so different, so tasty service was quick. The place could be a little cleaner, but heck for the price it was well worth it. We went there three times in a row three different nights. The best experience was their cauliflower taco, and the tater tots with a seasoned fried egg!!! Deelish! Their Calentina hot sauce is so tasty.Go ahead and give it a try. You'll love it.

Ordered the brisket nachos to go and was quite pleased with my order. Pretty decent serving size and a good amount of brisket and cheese. Slightly spicy but not overwhelming. Nachos were obviously a bit soggy since it was to go, but still tasty!

Velvet Taco is located Midtown directly across from Losers Bar and Grill. Outstanding taco selection and excellent quality. Appetizers and sides are also fabulous. I ordered the special which came with two tacos, a side and a drink. For the tacos I chose the Mexicali shrimp (although you can also mix and match) and for the side I chose guacamole which came with chips. All of the ingredients tasted fresh and the tacos were topped with huge chunks of avocado. Love the option of the sugar-free lemonade at the drink station. There is also a vegetarian option. And velvet taco is known for its red velvet cake, it is the only dessert featured on the menu. The Say What combo was $15 which I felt was an excellent value and you can also upgrade to an alcoholic beverage for another $6. This restaurant has crazy hours and is open late into the evening (Thursdays until 2 AM and Fridays and Saturdays until 4 AM!) which is also an added plus after a night of drinking at the local bars which Nashville is known for.

This place is great! The service was quick, the staff was super friendly and helpful, and the interior is clean and inviting. The tacos are also delicious! I got the nashville hot tofu which was perfectly cooked, and had the amazing Nashville hot flavor. I also got a steak one, and while the meat was a little tough the flavor was incredible. The Korean fried rice was also was super flavorful, and had lots of yummy sauce on it! Will definitely be coming back!

This place is wild after dark. You get the standard drunk crowd. But I had my first "Welcome to Nashville" moment when a drunk chick started hurling the "N" word at one of the employees taking orders. Cooler heads prevailed, and drunky's friends extended an olive branch and bought the employee a meal. I guess that sort of thing happens down there a lot. There were cops standing in there when the girl was screaming at the employee, but they didn't do anything. Just a bizarre scene, but hey I'm just a sheltered northerner so what do I know.Despite all that craziness going on, I must say the tacos were bangin'. During our stay, we hit this place up on more than one occasion (two to be exact). It really is just the perfect place to grab some late-night grub to soak up the alcohol. I'm happy to say that our second visit went without a hitch, and by hitch I mean insane drunk racist lady. One major reason we had to go back was there are just so many darn tacos to choose from. On the first visit, you order 2-3 tacos you want to try, but now having seen the entire menu, you start thinking about the tacos you'll order next time. The tacos begin to invade your dreams. Now granted, my one friend ate the spicy tikka chicken taco on the first trip and ordered four more the next time we went there. Apparently he wanted no other variety. Truly love at first bite.An absolute savior to Nashville's night owls, Velvet Taco stays open until four freakin' AM Friday and Saturday. During this five day trip, Velvet Taco was the only place we hit up twice. Not even that famous fried chicken place got a repeat visit. I mean, it did kind of help it was one of the few joints we could still get food that was somewhat near our AirBnb, but I know it's a prime location for them. There's another in the downtown area, and I just learned there are locations in a handful of other states as well. Perhaps they'll come up a bit further north one day.

I LOVE unique flavored tacos and this place doesn't disappoint in the selection. However, the tacos were a bit over priced, $6-7 per taco! The Korean taco was incredibly flavorful and well balanced. The steak taco was a bit difficult to eat because of the large cut of meat. Would come back for that Korean taco for sure!

Got in Nashville kind of late so I looked up some good taco places. I chose this place for the selections and late night hours. I can say the tacos were very packed with meat. They were tasty and full filling. I will most definitely eat here again.

Got: Grilled salmon, fried cauliflower, paneer tacos Price: ~$6-$7 per tacoValue: Tacos are loaded with ingredients but are not large themselves. A tad on the pricey side for the amount of food per taco. A super novel, unique, trendy spot for a new taco experienceVelvet Taco has a menu of unique taco fusions. Ranging from an Indian paneer to a Korean BBQ taco, there are plenty of options if you want something different. These are not your traditional Socal street tacos, but are still fun and delicious. You order your food at a counter and are called when it's ready. The salmon taco had strips of grilled salmon and was solid but not exceptional. I think it had too much crema which detracted from the fish starring. The cauliflower taco was slightly too oily and had Tabasco at the bottom which I wasn't the biggest fan of bc of the vinegary acidic flavor. I think a traditional salsa roja for acidity would have worked better. My favorite was the fried paneer taco with an Indian curry cream sauce at the bottom. The paneer cheese resembled a mozzarella stick without the stretchiness of the melted cheese. The curry with the flour tortilla resembled roti which I thought was lovely. The creamy sauce on top was unremarkable BUT replacing it with yogurt and adding a little onion on top would have completed the Indian flavors well. Overall, would come back with company to have them experience the taco fusions.
