Do you ever walk into a place and think: "this is not gonna be good"Well, folks. Welcome to Valle Luna Lunatics!This is not a Mexican restaurant, but rather a dive bar that happens to have tacos.Are you thinking you're gonna get high-quality food?Absolutely not.I ordered the "Sonoran burger"The first one they gave me had MOLD on the top bun, then the second one they gave me had raw onions and barely had a bottom bun. Not to add that the meat was overcooked. It actually made me nauseous and I ran to the restroom.Staff were accommodating by getting me a new one. I will give it that.Before the second burger with the raw onions and the sunken bottom bun was given to me, an older lady (who I would assume is the manager) "apologized" and said that they were gonna cook a whole new burger. New as in "take it out of the freezer and reheat it in the microwave".Rename it to Valle Luna Dive Bar and you'll be off the hook for false advertising!

We are so thankful to have a Valle Luna in our area. It's an Arizona staple and this new location didn't disappoint. The new decor is a welcome sight. Way different and modern compared to their other locations. The seating arrangement is better than the last restaurant that was in here. The staff was on point and very courteous. My wife ordered the Luna Bowl with pork and it was enough 2 people. The pork was moist with a slight spice to it. The accompanying condiments all looked fresh and made for a great addition to the pork. I opted for the classic #2 - Hard Shell Taco, Cheese enchilada, rice and beans. It was as I always remembered. A large shredded beef taco, gringo style with lettuce and tomato, a gooey enchilada where you have to use your knife to wrap the cheese that is oozing out of it, around it. All in all, I am super happy that they are so close to home and they are serving their classic dishes.

I completely forgot to add on my last review one more positive about this new location. Damien from 35th Avenue and Bell Road is not at this location! So anyone that's had to listen to him shoot his mouth off for the last 15 plus years does not have to worry about him at this Cantina . And PS, thank you Kelly from The Cave Creek store for getting things up and running smoothly..

Lovely service and food. HH cheese crisp and beer starting at 2:00. Winner! TVs for the Olympics, winner. Martin took care of us and was very polite.

As natives that grew up going to Valle Luna, we were so excited to get this location! We went on a late Tuesday afternoon to avoid the waits. It was still decently busy and service was ok.The chips and salsa plus a cheese crisp with green chile strips were the best parts of our meal, unfortunately. We each ordered combo plates. The beans were good, but the rice, enchiladas, and tacos were mediocre at best. The shredded chicken was bland and had a sour taste that made me wonder if it was ok to eat. So I only had a couple of bites of it. Overall, it's a step up from the previous restaurant for us, but it definitely wasn't as good as the Bell or Cave Creek locations. It has a nice bar and the bathroom was done nicely, too. Maybe I will try simple bean burritos and queso dip to go once they start accepting takeout orders, but sadly this spot won't be our regular lunch spot for Mexican food and margaritas even though it's so close to home.

The food was very good and fresh and consistent with the other locations. Service was a little bit under expectations but it is to be assumed being a new location and hiring staff. Menu is much smaller than bell and cave creek locations so just be aware of that. All the alcoholic drinks were good. All around a good experience

Nice location for the local community and only establishment with late night service in the area. Open until 10 pm Sunday thru Thursday, 11 pm Friday and Saturday. Food is good, great specials for happy hour, Good service, and nice sports bar. Highly Recommend!
