One of my regular customers at one of my previous jobs used to bring me these Filipino-style pastries from this place, and I finally decided to stop by myself... and wow! I wish I would have stopped by earlier. On this visit I only got two cheese balls and their ube cheese pastry. For three pastries, my total was only $3.25!?!? In this economy, this is a STEAL. The cheese balls were not-too-sweet, airy, and perfectly filled with cream-cheese. The ube pastry was to die for - I am actually going to buy some again even though I went in earlier in the week because I cannot get enough. 5/5 - I have a strong feeling the rest of their offerings will be just as good. YUM.

3rd visit here. I think they hired a new worker by the name of Merlinda. This review is for her. She was quite possibly the sweetest person I have ever come across there at the bakery. Really sweet and made my day. Thank you Merli!

Their website states that they have empanadas at their Mira Mesa location even showing a nice picture. I went there, ask for empanadas advertised on web site and they don't have any. They are not out, they just don't do empanadas. Not only the website is untrue but the lady at the Mira Mesa store was very impolite not welcoming and rude. Lost my time.

It's been years since I had their cheese balls so after a strenuous hike hubby and I rewarded ourselves with all things glorious starting with them cheese balls.I didn't realized they had moved from their old store to Seafood City which is even better. Closer to all Filipino stores you may want to hit while in MiraMesa. It was around 5 when we came... plenty of Filipino breads to choose from but out of cheese balls. Fortunately, there were cheese rolls left, same exact bread except it's bigger so I wasn't too disappointed. Bought 8 pieces and 2 okoys. It was as good as I remembered, hubby loves it even more.

Really bad service. My mom asked for okoy when we were about to pay. My mom thought she already asked for it but when my mom asked the lady there "I'm sorry did I also get okoy?" The lady looked at my family and I harshly and said NO with some SERIOUS ATTITUDE. It bothered my mom and I all day. It's a turn off when you buy food from somewhere and the people give you attitude. I will not be returning ever again.

Absolutely hopeless. You go there early in the morning asking if they have fresh, out of the oven cheese balls as you already know they are notorious for selling last days baked goods. And the lady says yes they were just baked " five minutes" ago. I tell her I don't mind waiting or coming back when they are ready. Giving her a chance to not mislead me....again. But no, she puts them in a bag, doesn't handle it to me until I pay. And once again I am handed a bag of soggy, cold cheese balls, so old they are stuck together. It's not the cheese balls that I am disappointed with, it's with the workers lying. Please display those bags as " baked yesterday". Don't sell them as fresh. Be honest.

We bought this in Valerio's Bake Shop inside Seafood City today on 2/18/24 at 3:13pm. We got home and tasted it. It tastes like moldy and doesn't even taste like ube yam. Super disappointed. and upset. The saleslady told me it was made today.

Might as well go to the one in National City. The original Valerio's. This branch serves fresh pandesal and cooked entrees. Based on personal taste... go to National City off of 8th st and Palm. The original Valerio's.

Yesterday July 8, 2023, I was surprised with an ATTITUDE from this bakery's Cashier on duty named Veronica. Without first verifying or checking with their Order Taker Department, had argued with customers like myself with an angry abrupt answer, "There was no order placed!" - when asked if my sister's order is ready. And, when I called my sister on the phone to talk to her, she turned her back on me, and took the next customer standing from my back, but ignored my initial act of giving her my cellphone wherein my sister was talking on the other line thinking she already got my cellphone and listening with her.She only took the call, when I insisted that my sister was on the line. Even after she already heard from my sister and found out it's their bakery's "miscommunication issues" among their own employees was the root cause of the problem, she never stopped arguing towards customers like myself instead of saying or admitting it's their own fault. SERIOUS ATTITUDE problem with this customer service or cashier named Veronica was displayed - worst was extremely, or angrily extended to yours truly, and was heard by other customers , who were patiently waiting on the line, and passers by inside Seafood City.
