Urbane Cafe

I recently visited Urbane Cafe and had the pleasure of trying their cilantro chicken salad. The ambience of the cafe is open and clean, making it a comfortable spot for a meal. The staff were incredibly attentive, friendly, and quick, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable dining experience.The service was impressively fast, which is always a plus during a lunch break. As for the food, the cilantro chicken salad was absolutely delicious. The flavors were well-balanced and fresh, making each bite a delight. My only wish is that there had been a bit more fresh cilantro to enhance the dish further. Overall, Urbane Cafe exceeded my expectations, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great meal in a welcoming environment. Five stars!

After a fun early evening hosted by the city of El Cajon Police at the parkway plaza I was hungry! All that dancing to an 80s cover band had me working up an appetite! Mozied on over to UrbanCafe.Surprisingly it was empty at 8pm on a Tuesday. Staff was very friendly! Wanting to be healthy I ordered an ahi tuna salad to go and had a bag of honey Dijon potato chips - yep- they got me with an impulse buy!The chips were yummy but I was Dissappointed to see how expensive the small bag was at $2.99! The salsa was the perfect size. Not too much, not too little. I was even pleasantly surprised at the amount of ahi included. (I was concerned it wouldn't be enough!)The salad included avacado and a weird amount of it on the side. In all, I enjoyed the salad. Had the dressing on the side which worked well as I could also dip the bread in it.While I do think $18 for a salad and chips (no drink) iis expensive, I did enjoy the meal..

I've seen this place while driving it the last couple of years but I finally stopped in today after learning they have an ahi salad. The interior is clean , modern, and uncluttered. The service is nice enough, quick ordering and payment. I opted to get my ahi salad to go. They had it ready within ten minutes, but they were out of avocado. Womp womp. They offered extra radishes or edamame beans. I didn't want either, I wanted avocado, but opted for edamame. I would have preferred a couple of extra ahi slices but didn't want to push it and I don't like to be fussy. Hopefully next time they will have avocado. The people demand avocado!!Pricing was about normal, with the salad being about $15 because, ya know, inflation. Salad was really good! I will get that again and again upon my returns. Ahi was delicious, greens were fresh, all the fixings were perfect. Oh, the bread that comes with the salad is delicious and soft. The salad dressing was the highlight, though. Muah! *chef's kiss*. I want the recipe to this dressing. Next time I'll ask for an extra container of it. I'll be back. Please have avocado.

This place has delicious healthy food at an affordable price! First time I tried this place, I ordered the Crunchy Peanut Salad -cilantro chicken, mixed greens, coleslaw mix, cucumbers, pickled carrots, edamame, mandarin oranges, crispy onions, honey roasted peanutsAnd also the Keto Cobb -chopped salad mix, mixed greens, avocado, eggs, pickled onions, blue cheese crumbles, Applewood-smoked bacon. Served with keto blue cheese dressing and fresh baked focaccia bread minus the tomatoes. Both were very delicious! This time around I chose the Salmon Bowl-Salmon, whole grain rice, kale, roasted sweet potatoes, edamame, lemon wedge & sweet chili aioli drizzleAnd my husband chose The Keto Cobb -chopped salad mix, mixed greens, avocado, eggs, grape tomatoes, pickled onions, blue cheese crumbles, Applewood-smoked bacon. Served with keto blue cheese dressing and fresh baked focaccia bread WITH added Steak. This establishment has been consistent maintaining great flavors in their food. The food is healthy, just the right amount of food per serving and light. You feel good after having a meal here. I definitely recommend this place.

I've always been a fan of urbane cafe! Who can say no to that bread. My favorite sandwich is the socal. Ps. Their tomato bisque soup is always good. This isn't the location I usually go to but the food was the same great quality. Only thing was the beverage station needed a good wipe. I almost wish the utensils were behind the counter instead of the sticky soda machine.

We love this place. Their food is really good. It's made with nice and healthy ingredients. We usually get the Santa Maria barbecue salad. It's delicious and it comes with a quarter of a piece of the bread which is delicious. Lots of chicken and bacon. The dressing is great. The servings are very consistent. I've also had the cranberry brie sandwich and it's delicious. The chimichurri steak sandwich is supposed to be delicious also. Good cookies. Nice soda options. The only downside is there is not a lot of ins inside seating. But there is outside seating and as long as it's not raining you are good to go. Service is great. Staff are very friendly.

I have been going to urbane cafe for a year and every single time I come, the service is great, the workers are nice, the food is great, fresh, and the cookies are soft and hot. I would recommend coming here If your looking to try something new or trying to get fresh made food

Mary Jane, provided me with an excellent Dining experience, will definitely eat here more frequently. I asked Mary Jane for recommendations, since i had never previously visited Urban Cafe, she suggested the Cilantro Torta, which was AMAZING!

I've been eating at urbane for awhile, and this is the first time I am disappointed with the service. My food was cold, in example. Bread was cold and doughy, cheese wasn't melted right, and the worse part.. they forgot my aioli in the sandwich.
