Food - sushi was pretty good! I liked my caterpillar roll and it tasted fresh. The Inari was my favorite - very well formed and flavored, and the tamago was just ok. They have several bottled drinks, including Ito En green tea which I love. They have several options including bentos, rolls, maki, sashimi and nigiri, sushi burritos, and a few more sides. Lots of vegetarian and vegan options!Service - they were very kind and greeted me when I arrived and thanked me when I left. They brought items out to me as ready and took my empty plates in between. They were very polite and attentive. Ambiance - I liked this spot for a quick lunch or snack. It was well lit and clean, and I enjoyed the little window bar seating facing the street. Great cozy spot for a light meal on a rainy day.

Casual sushi spot located in downtown South Lake Union. Order at counter, get number, and have it brought to you (they are quick!)Spicy Tuna Sushi Burrito ($18) was not aesthetic at all, looked small, and was overpriced (perhaps the high prices are due to location). The filling looked like weird gray mush and I never like the look of pale iceberg lettuce anywhere near my sushi. However, all this aside, it tasted great and was pretty filling.BF got the chicken katsu bento ($22) which had lots of components and looked awesome.

Super fresh & delicious sushi options! I really loved the spicy tuna tacos, Chirashi Don, and the sashimi platter. Friendly staff & quick service. They are open on weekdays only so it's a perfect lunch spot if you work in the SLU area.

Love this place! It is a small place that is easily missed. The food & service are always excellent! The sushi quality is excellent & there's never a long wait to get the food after ordering! This is my go to lunch spot for sushi in Seattle.

TLDR: Ooh yum this is pretty good, oh wait it's all gone now and I'm still hungry and I'm broke now. Sadge.I came to Urban Sushi Kitchen for lunch one day eager to try some of Seattle's famous seafood in a hopefully close-to-work and affordable location. Boy was a disappointed - while Urban Sushi Kitchen could totally be a home run if just a few things were different, they missed out on a few really crucial pieces to be an outstanding lunch spot.Walking in, the restaurant was about half full (plenty of prime seating!), and there was no line. So far, great! The customer service was fine overall, and I ended up ordering a salmon sushirito. For those of you who don't know what a sushirito is, let me enlighten you. Imagine a huge sushi roll. That's it. The pinnacle of combining the expensive sushi with the value that burritos offer typically results in a filling meal that hits a craving for sushi without breaking the bank.Instead, when I received my sushirito I was heartbroken. The sushirito was TINY. I kid you not, I could have eaten the sushirito in 3 bites had I tried. In reality it probably took around 5 bites, which is not much better. I was not full at all, my sushi craving was not fulfilled, and worst of all, it was FREAKING EXPENSIVE. I paid ~$22 for something that LITERALLY left me just as hungry as I was walking in. Perhaps if it was priced according to the size, I would've just ordered another one and walked away happy, but I was absolutely not willing to shell out ~$50 on a mediocre lunch just to be full. I ended up going back to work and my hunger drove me to eat 4 fruit bars. Yes, I was very hungry afterwards. Now, will admit that I am being fairly harsh here due to my hunger practically typing for me. I will concede one thing, the quality of the food was actually pretty solid - if only I had more of it to eat. The salmon tasted pretty fresh, and I really liked the edamame sprinkled into the sushirito. The avocado was also perfectly ripe.Overall, if I blew my nose with $100 dollar bills, I would probably love this place and come back quite often for lunch. Unfortunately, I blow my nose with tissue paper and I can't justify coming back here due to the miniscule portion sizes and correspondingly overblown prices.

Hi Craig,Good place to go for fast service. You order at the counter. Some of the salmon tasted better than others. The salmon and avocado roll was delicious but the nigiri was not as good. Pricing was fair. Salad was large and fresh. I liked the toasted onion on the salad.Jack

I arrived at 8:15pm and asked to eat there, from which the response was " we close 8:45. no time". I smiled politely and said I eat fast. That is where things got interesting. An enormous argument started between the lady and a food delivery person- he was trying to get them to speak to the customer on the phone, either his phone or for them to provide a number for the customer to call- to explain the order that the order they received was missing things- she kept yelling "no not possible" and he kept yelling that he has never seen a business treat a customer like this in his six years of delivering. Awwwwwkward ambience/environment to dine in.Long story short, I was shorted an order of avacado roll AND an order of Inari, but I just wanted to eat and leave so I didnt want to have to go through an ordeal. Then I got my chicken karage... from which I found two shrimp tails in it... needless to say I didnt eat it.In general, the sushi was decent tasting but I only got the avocado roll, california roll, and inari because they were out of both maguro and salmon (possibly I was lucky now that I see that they have two critical health violations).

This is an amazing place for sushi! The restaurant is a modern design and very clean. The employees are very friendly with spot on service. The sashimi has vibrant colors, very fresh tasting, with every bite perfect! I chose the Rainer box for its variety of sashimi and sushi which made a well balanced meal. The miso served with it had a delicious flavor. Also, the warm sake paired well with the meal. Overall, no complaints here and I cannot wait to come back and try more dishes soon!

I learned that I had won an IG prize to Urban Sushi Kitchen. I had to make the effort to stop by during the weekdays since they are closed on weekends. I finally located Urban Sushi Kitchen in the Denny Triangle /South Lake Union area on 2/19/24. I was able to find free parking due to the Presidents Day holiday. It is located around the corner from the US Courthouse and across the street from a Seattle Police precinct. I liked the clean, modern streamlined interior with lots of natural light and ample onsite seating. I showed the helpful counter person screenshots to claim my IG prize. There was no gift card available, so I had to literally redeem and dine onsite. I ended up selecting chicken karaage, a custom roll, and a beef teriyaki bento box to claim the prize value. I paid extra to try their hotate and hamachi nigiri. The food was brought out shortly afterwards - nicely prepared, generous, and tasty. The menu prices reflect the location, but it was nice to end up with so much leftovers, that the contents filled an entire compartmentalized takeout container! I was pleasantly surprised with my first visit. Thank you for the generosity from @foodsbysachi and Urban Sushi Kitchen.

The only problem with this place is that too many things on the menu look amazing. We tried. So many things and they were all amazing. I want to try new places, but I think I may come back here for dinner every night. Also. Try the hot sake! It's like drinking warm air.
