Urban Grub

This place is our frequent date night spot. I will probably leave several reviews with different meals. This place is jam packed on weekends so make sure to reserve your spot. Parking on 12th street can be bit hectic so try to valet or Uber. Rather you grab a quick bite and drinks at the bar or get a full blown service at the dining area, you will not disappoint. Their Oysters are fresh and delicious. Wood fired Oysters are a must try and you will fall in love. Steaks are always great choice!

Customer service was 7/10 from the time we entered the restaurant to the server. It was about a 10-15 minute wait around 1pm on a Saturday. The plan was to go to buttermilk, but they turned us away due to their flaws with time and maybe being understaffed. However, we were really glad that they did turn us away and we came here. Ambiance is beautiful and nice layout. Nice table settings. We were a party of 9. We ordered a variety of things from the brunch menu: monkey bread and crab beignets for the appetizer. For entrees, chicken and waffles was ordered along with shrimp and grits, huevos rancheros one with chorizo and one was with steak, and a couple other menu items were ordered. Monkey bread was tasty but little overdone and dry. Crab beignets were tasty, but if texture is an issue for you, some said the filling was too mushy. Chicken and waffles was good, but more waffle was given and less chicken at our table. However, I overheard a lady from another table tell her friend that she felt she had a lot of chicken whereas her friend felt she only had one piece. Maybe this dish is not consistently portioned. Also ordered was a lobster melt with side of cheese grits. Grits were still a little hard. All other dishes were said to be good. All meats were really tender and taste was of good quality. Drinks ordered had no complaints. Server was a little slow in giving the house bread and biscuits that were also yummy. Restrooms could've been more maintained to avoid long wait times as there are only two stalls. Overall, would return back here and try something different. Very cool place.

Really great local experience. We are at the bar but service was still outstanding. Just keep in mind you need a reservation, even on a Tuesday is was very very busy, that says a lot.

Me and my family ate here over the summer and it was phenomenal! Our server was SO GOOD and everyone was so friendly. Loved the whole vibe of the restaurant. Highly recommend!

Always great food and service. Have been several times with a large group and they have always done a great job accommodating us- which is why we tend to just go back there! We have never felt like we were putting them out or making a big to-do because of our group. Service has always been top notch with engaged staff and no complaints about any of the food!

Considering they were out of grouper. It was still a pleasant dine in. The snapper fish was pretty decent. Can't go wrong with the basics sides Mac n cheese, mashed potatoes. The service was excellent.

Bacon and Jam....Bacon and Jam with Feta....Bacon and Jam with Feta and Sunflower seeds over crispy Brussels...Who ever had the Idea to put Bacon and Jam together? Did someone drop an English breakfast and try to salvage it and in the process made a discovery? Who was it...I really want to know! It was a mark of genius! The Bartender was not only easy on the eyes but he was also very knowledgeable about all of the wines, and the ingredients and cooking process of every menu item. A foodies dream! The burger was hands down my favorite burger I've had in years. And I'm a burger girl....Now get out of my way while I order another one to go!

Easy to make reservations for a large! Staff was friendly! Valet quick and efficient ! Food was simply delicious! Can't go wrong when you go to Urban Grub.

The food on the menu is so diverse without being intimidating. Good old fashioned grub kicked up a notch, so good! We started with oysters, raw and cooked, a side of brussel sprouts, carrots and then entrees were shrimp with grits and grouper.

One of my newly discovered fave restaurants in Nashville. Saturday brunch has a full menu or a fantastic buffet style option. The buffet is definitely not like old school ones, it has oysters, crab legs, salad, and a ton of other delicious items. You can purchase a one trip or unlimited.
