Urban Cowboy Public House

Start by saying - this feels like it could have just been a bad night for UC or maybe we weren't up to dealing with the crowd, chaos and bad service. Plenty of street parking in what is basically a neighborhood turned mix retail/homes. As pics show it has a cool patio and has open space, casual with tree/plant covered space, and indoor tables too. They have a wine bar into the front house. We checked out all three and given it was 100% packed, we lucked out getting a table for our party of six on the patio. There are no waiters or waitresses. You have to stand in line and you order drinks and pizza (only option for food) at the bar. Have to say bartenders arent super friendly, but given it is non stop people in their face - probably understandable. We ordered drinks and menu - simple pizzas they recommended. Pizza was on 30 min wait........no biggie. We sat down, had our drinks, played a few games, bought a bottle of wine and chilled (although it was 90+ outside). It was easy to go inside to get more wine, but the patio bar was a long line and 10+mins each time. They had wonderful water stations all over the restaurant. Easy self refills. Patio could benefit from a few fans to help get a breeze going! If you are just coming for a quick in and out drink - going to your next destination - give it a try. As for us, we were trying to eat dinner here (pizza). We checked on our pizzas after 50 mins and guys in kitchen said we were next...... 75 mins.. still nothing. After 90 minutes we had to stand at the kitchen door and tell the kitchen directly what we ordered and what our tickets were. They lost our 4 tickets (we still had 4 pagers), had no pizzas, so they started handing us misc burnt pizzas from the oven. 2 were not edible and the other two we shared and ate around the burnt crust. It was complete chaos and no one was around to help or talk to. Kitchen cooks trying to help ten or more people trying to find missing food. We werent the only ones. Funny part - they were still taking new orders telling people 20 minutes!!! HAHANot someplace I would recommend to friends/family, but given the crowd, must be someone's cup of tea.

My recent visit was a drastic improvement, highlighted by a bar back named Ryan. This young man was so polite and hospitable that he single-handedly made our experience an absolute delight. He gave us excellent recommendations on food and beer, and made every effort to clean our table outside, making us feel genuinely welcomed. What a difference it makes when hospitality is at the forefront!While the margaritas still need some refinement to match the culinary standards, the improvement in service, especially thanks to Ryan, is noteworthy. I'll gladly return for the exceptional pizza and now, with a renewed hope for a better cocktail experience, spurred by the outstanding hospitality I encountered.

Great second experience here! Loved the outdoor patio and didn't realize how far it wrapped around and went back.

A pizza and bar joint. Hip vibes and fun atmosphere. Food has to be ordered at the counter and picked up at the counter. Same situation with the bar. So if you're looking for a "normal" sit down meal this isn't it.

Went here for a night cap. Didn't get to try the pizza but it smelled delicious. The drinks were a little pricey but very tasty, you could tell the staff puts in the work mixing the drinks. The ambiance was dark and country.

Insanely good vibes. Extensive and super unique cocktail and drink list. Amazing Smokey and essence scents. Attached Roberta's pizza. Lots of indoor and outdoor seating with fires and rocking chairs. Nice staff and quick service. Couldn't think of anything to make this place better. Highly recommend and will return whenever I can

10/10 pizza! 10/10 drinks! The pizza truck, bar and patio area is behind the Urban Cowboy hotel. Don't be fooled by the hotel, there's a whole vibe in the back! I'd definitely come back again either with friends or on a date... bartenders were friendly!

When my friend told me that we were going to the Urban Cowboy, my mind was imagining something like a Honky Tonk bar. Wow! I was wrong. This place was an Inn of Wonders! I absolutely Love the interior. There's also a bar that closes earlier inside than the outside bar, so be mindful. It was giving midwestern apothecary for the decor. Around back you'll find the outdoor seating that makes for a perfect space to sit and listen to the band, have a catch up session with your friends or do both. Now, let's get into this back bar & pizzeria. How neat! They closed at 11p I believe. I didn't get a chance to order pizza I was too busy indulging in Sunday Shifters (drink) but the next time I visit please believe I will and I'll have something to add!

The pizzas were FANTASTIC. Wine was so so good, and our bartender taught us about new kinds of wine which was great. They have an outdoor patio which is so quiet & cozy. It's a welcome retreat from loud streets of Nash :)
