Urban Agave

Decided to go here for a Family birthday brunch as we saw good reviews and they had live entertainment on a Saturday Morning. They have the usual fare with some Mexican inspired additions! All the food was good, service was good, even with a relatively new person as our waiter and they were accommodating (we had a 6 month old with us). Drinks were also a hit, with Bloody Mary's and a Great Expresso Martini were well done....

Urban Margarita used to be our go to restaurant. But since the new ownership took we aren't a fan. We arrived Saturday at 5:30 for dinner. There was one table eating at that time. We left at 6:15 and there a second table being sat. An empty restaurant on a Saturday night says it all. The host created us with a smile and our server Nadi was excellent.As for the food that's another story. My wife ordered the shrimp tostadas. We were shocked that she received 4 medium shrimp that were cut to make it look like there were 8 full shrimp. Also, no sides were served. I ordered the steak fajitas. The portion was large but lakes flavor. I did appreciate the large portions of sour cream and guacamole. Again no sides of corn or refried beans, for me it was okay since the portion was more than enough. The prices were high $19 and change for two half shrimp tostadas and $26 for the fajitas. I would pay the $26 again since due to size but would order it due to a lack of flavor.I also didn't appreciate the young man sweeping the floor around our table as we were eating. I don't blame the young man I blame a lack of training. The restaurants decor is nice and comfortable.I wish the new owner the best but changes need to be made to bring in more customers.

Not horrible food but nothing to go out of the way for. Great service and a welcoming atmosphere. The drinks were the best part of the evening. We ordered a prickly pear margarita and the jalapeño pineapple margarita. We ordered chips and salsa, yes, ordered it as an appetizer with guacamole. The guacamole was pretty bland and was just avocado purée. The kickin chicken had good flavor but was dry and over cooked. The beans were too wet. The rice was good on both plates. The steak tostada had a sauce that wasn't necessary it was too full to pick up and eat. The steak was cooked well and had decent flavor.

Amazing food! Love their Sunday Brunches! Highly recommend Huevos Rancheros & Bloody MarService is awesome!

First time here since they changed owners & think we will need to try again because it was a new menu and new vibe for sure. Positives were the welcoming and friendly service, they still have the triple X salsa available, the Sonoran dog is a winner and the grilled shrimp tacos are fantastic. Minus was the over baked cheese crisp with dry carne asada. However, the manager sweetly took it off of our table even though we didn't expect them to. Will definitely go back to try some more new items.

First night in town and this summer did not disappoint! I used Yelp to find a place that was open late, had good reviews of their food and was okay for kids. Well mine are teenagers and look like men but anyway....It was a Friday evening around 830-9pm and we walked in to the hostess area which is also the bar entrance. The bar tables were full and the lively atmosphere and music were a great welcome to Glendale! We decided to sit a table in the restaurant area but with the open design concept, we could still take advantage of the bar music and vibe. So fun! We ordered the puffy carnitas tacos, quesobirria tacos, the stuffed poblanos and for starters the jalapeño poppers and chips and dip x3.Every single dish was outstanding! My son didn't like the carnitas but I think his palate is just a little different because my husband and I ended up eating them and they were amazing. Jalapeño poppers were spicyyyyyyy but 10/10 for sure. Probably the best I've ever had. Hey! They even had a late happy hour menu and a Yelp check in deal for 10% off I believe.Great restaurant choice all around!

This restaurant has recently changed owners and updated its name from Urban Margarita to Urban Agave. We decided to drop in and see what it was like now.The inside still looks the same, clean, but not very distinctive. A fair amount of the menu still remains, but it does seem that some prices have increased and new dishes were added. Our server was very attentive and friendly, she helped me secure a nice Mocktail. It was fairly expensive though, considering that it was happy hour and regular margaritas were much cheaper.We enjoyed the chips, salsa, and the elote cheese dip! The crispy cauliflower was fine, the batter was pretty flavorless. The urban burrito was fairly mediocre. All in all, I think we would come back to do happy hour, but I'm unsure that we would do a full meal.

I was in the mood for something new and I found this place here in Yelp. The place is in a big Bussines center not a stand a line location. It is a little hard to find because there is not a big sign but pretty much they are right behind the Burger King. There is a lot of parking spots, lots of table seating inside or outside. Big TV screens for watching a game. The inside is kind a dark, kind of like a pub/bar. The service is fast and our server was attentive and helpful. The food was good. I got a stuffed poblano pepper it's was good but I like Chile rellenos mostly so this was something different. The rice could used some lime and more salt the corn was good. Oh but the bread pudding is really GOOD!

The food is awful here I wouldn't go back again the ceviche is not even ceviche it's shrimp cocktail basically and a bad one the service is good if they can get your Oder right not my favorite place at all.

I booked the private room for my parent's surprise 50th anniversary party. Libby was very helpful and accommodating with my requests. The room was perfect for our 30-ish guests. Taylor was our server and she was fantastic. It can get rather hectic with food coming out and trying to keep everything straight for that many people and she did a great job.
