Uptown Espresso - Junction

Nice decor. Very friendly barista, Good food and coffee (albeit pricey). So why only 3-stars? Because their wifi is slow as molasses!! Seriously, it's 2024. I was prepared to spend hours here (and more money) while I was waiting for my car to be repaired across the street. After 15 minutes I threw in the towel and walked down the street to Starbucks. I'd prefer to support local coffee shops over corporate, but until this place upgrades its wifi, there's no going back for me. In the off chance the owner/manager of this place sees this review, please reinvest your overpriced food profits into better wifi.

This place lives up to the motto on the front of the building: "home of the velvet foam." It's so yummy. Baristas were very friendly and fun to joke around with. Good vibe inside - love the puzzles and games they have available for you to use.

Stopped in while on a sunny walk (ok, a super long walk enjoying sun!). Ordered a cappuccino with soy in a real cup. They make a delicious and stunning soy cappuccino! The counter service was excellent: prompt and sincerely friendly. Right now, I'm sitting in a leather-look armchair with a view to crowded tables and quiet conversations. Definitely will return!

The barista took his time on my difficult drink and nailed it! Good setup to stay and work a while too.

Uptown Espresso is a neat coffee shop in the Alaska Junction. I love coming here because they have their own parking lot!I usually order a cappuccino, but they have other espresso drinks, cold brew, tea, and hot chocolate. They also have a lot of food options: baked goods (muffins, scones, pastries) as well as breakfast sandwiches and wraps.Sometimes I come here because I need to use the free wifi. It is a very comfortable place with tons of tables and chairs. The other customers always seem pretty chill and quiet.I usually only see one barista here, so you might have to wait a bit if there is a long line, but generally that isn't a problem.

Coffee is great. Customer service was not up to par. Was not greeted upon arrival. The two baristas continued to have a conversation instead of greeting us. The next group was greeted with a very welcoming greeting in front of me. Again, great coffee. Just work in your baristas customer service with ALL customers

Service is always fast and fantastic. Coffee is also exactly how you expect it to be, no guessing if it'll be good today, or bad tomorrow!! Food selection is ample and really good. This is a place you could stay all day. And yes, when they say "home of the velvety foam" they mean it!!! It's the best.

Uptown Espresso is a Seattle original, but I really appreciate their interior updates at the Junction location, which makes it an even more pleasant place to spend a few hours working on your computer or catching up with a friend. New floors replaced the old carpet, seating is well spaced and there is a cool coffee roasting machine that is the centerpiece for a bar seating. The quality of drinks is high here, and features Fonte coffee. Plenty of baked goods and lunch items to prolong your stay, and the staff is always friendly and efficient. There are a lot of coffeehouses in this area, and UE is a standout for its sum of the parts.

The worst retail staff I have ever interacted with at a Seattle coffee shop. They must have a rich owner because they get away with mediocre coffee combined with terrible customer service.
