We loved this restaurant so much, we ate there twice during our vacation. The staff was very laid back and friendly. On our first visit for lunch, we ordered smoked salmon chowder (so yummy). I ordered the Carnivore Oval (personal pizza), while my husband had their "Dirt Bag Climber's Burger" and fries. Both entrees were very good but we decided we had to come back another day for dinner to order their "Salmon Mashed" (marinated salmon steak, garlic mashed potatoes, and asparagus). It was worth the return visit because we also had the best house made Carrot Cake. Our waiter (Jason, I believe) was new but fantastic!! Definitely try this place. We aren't beer drinkers but everyone else seemed to love their selection. Cute decor with outdoor seating in the summer months.

Great food and friendly staffs!!! We stayed at the North cascades Inn across the street and got 10% off. Brenda and Robert run both places so great business synergy haha they are very friendly to welcome you in the area with some good food! Nice indoor and outdoor space, dog friendly too!

Ordered salmon mashed, dirt bag climbers burger, and fry basket. Mixed bag. Salmon was good but not spectacular. I thought the burger was absolute trash and not even as good as a mcdouble but my wife said the meat was smoked and flavorful. Not sure but I didn't taste it. Fries were decent. Close to a 3.5 star restaurant. Wait was quite long as well.

It's very obvious from some of the reviews that people need to learn patience. If you're 50+ miles out of the nearest big city, life's gonna be a little slower and no, you're not going to get personalized instant service. You'll get a yes sir, yes ma'am, and one dang good meal. Ok soap box hop off, but for serious, this is a mountain grill in the backwoods of Washington so it's not your Amazon prime get it with the press of a button kind of life. This place is a family staple and since the new owners took over foods gone skyrocketing in terms of taste. Great grill pub menu and plenty of kids meals to stave off the hungry hordes. The caprese panini is a fam fav for us. Free WiFi, nice to dogs, shaded, and lovely adult beverages. Can't go wrong with a stop here to or from your mountain adventures.

The sign at the door let's you know that they are severely understaffed and to have patience with your food and drinks. So yes, food does take a bit of time. But it's worth the wait. The entire table of 8 ordered burgers. And all of them were delish. I like a bit of spice so ordered the up heat beef burger with pepper jack cheese. The side of fries - absolutely fantastic. Crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. And the carrot cake - OMG! So fresh. You can taste juicy carrots and the light cream.

After a beautiful hike in the north cascades, we stopped in for dinner at this gem and it exceeded our expectations! The food was delicious and the ambiance was unmatched! The carrot cake and upriver heat burger were our personal favs! What really stood out was the service! We had Coley (spelling?) as our server and she was so kind and personable! She honestly made the whole experience 5 stars and we can't wait to come back!

Excellent grill & taproom along SR20 on the Cascade Loop in Marblemount. We had smoked chowder to share as starter, and split a Philly cheesesteak sandwich and a roast beef sandwich, both with fries & a pickle. Fresh rolls, great peppers on Philly cheesesteak and wonderful horseradish on roast beef. Fries were hot & crispy. Excellent draft beer choices too. Then we ordered a slice of carrot cake & strawberry rhubarb cheesecake to go! Denise was a great server- friendly, kind and attentive but not hovering. My husband lived in Philadelphia and said his sandwich was the best he's ever had outside of Philly. Beautiful outside patio with lots of tables and shade. Pet friendly too! This is our new favorite place!

Serviceable in the purest of senses. Basic ingredients assembled basically. Nothing special. Also overpriced for being totally in the middle of nowhere. Don't understand the otherwise high reviews so temper expectations appropriately.

A group of us walked in on a sunny Sunday for lunch after spending the weekend backpacking in the North Cascades. We came ready to devour the menu in an instant and they knew the assignment. We were seated quickly and they were kind enough to bring out baskets of fries before our burgers so we could start eating while they finished up our food. Our burgers were served with salads which felt really refreshing after three days of dehydrated meals and packaged snacks.The burgers were hefty portions, great for the post-hike appetite - I got the hatch chile burger and enjoyed every bite of it. The fries were perfectly crisp on the outside and still fluffy and light on the inside. The salad was simple but oh so good.We were able to pay by separate checks and the staff were super friendly and helpful. Will be back next time I'm in the area!
