Union Grill & Tap

I didn't take any photos of the food here in large part because our son-in-law's mother was with us and we knew she didn't like having her photo taken. Plus, I'm sure she never heard of Yelp :)We were here on a weeknight for an early dinner. In addition to son-in-law's mother, we also had son-in-law and one of our grandsons with us. Since the other two grandsons were getting ready for their graduation, we had to eat early in order to get there on time.As for ambiance---No joke---this was the noisiest restaurant we've ever been in. There were lots of people sitting at the bar and in addition to their loud talking, there was extra loud music in the background.Our waiter was friendly and efficient but due to the noise, the poor man had to keep repeating himself when we were trying to give him our orders. Still, he managed to get everything correct.For starters, we all had soft drinks except for my husband who had a light beer. When it came to the food, this is what we ordered --- Son-in-law and I had the "fish and chips" which consists of: "hand cut Atlantic cod with a panko crust, house fries and coleslaw".Son-in-law's mother had "chicken tenders" which consists of: "handmade southern style chicken tenders, your choice of sauce, served with fries".Grandson had "Cajun jambalaya" which consists of: "Andouille sausage, jumbo shrimp, grilled chicken breast, celery, bell pepper, onion, spicy Cajun broth, green onion, jasmine rice".My husband had a burger with onion slices plus fries.As for the food, I thought the fish and chips were okay. The fish seemed to be somewhat overcooked as it was dark brown. The coleslaw was mildly seasoned and the fries were okay. Son-in-law agreed with my assessment.Grandson (who is a growing boy) ate all of his jambalaya. He said it was spicy and he really liked it. As he has gotten older, he's now embracing spicy food.My husband said his burger was just fine.The main reason we ate here was because it was steps away from our hotel...but...we still drove there because son-in-law's mother and my husband don't walk very well. Plus, we figured that we would just hop in the cars after we ate and head to the graduation.I don't know if we would go here again due to it being very, very noisy. If you don't mind such an atmosphere, the food is decent enough.

Know that this is a sports bar with good food and drinks - not a restaurant. It's going to be loud and if the local team is winning it will be louder. The service here is always friendly and fast. Melissa helped us the last time we were in and she is awesome. Cool drinks on a hot day included a well margarita (or two) and an Aperol spritzer (or three). Both hit the spot. Get that pretzel basket and extra mustard, you're welcome. The boneless wings came and went too quickly. I don't order salads at restaurants it my wife does. Thank goodness- the wild arugula salad was really good. Good enough that I now consider salads while ordering out. Union never disappoints: good beer selection, games always on, a nice menu and killer service.

Union grill & tap is an awesome place to go for a quick meal. I was in town for work and the Buddha bowl was delicious, lot of soy sauce but nonetheless great.The service was pretty good, I was an odd ball and working while getting dinner but the staff was friendly. The vibe is mellow or energetic depending on the sports games.I got a side of mashed potatoes that were delicious!

Great atmosphere!Robert, Cece and Trisha help make this place great! Just had the tacos that are on special right now. Amazing!Bulgogi beef tacos! Those are the ones.

The ambiance was your typical sports bar, tons of tv's all over, and a lively atmosphere. I ordered the Life's a Beach cocktail and it was okay -- couldn't really taste the alcohol as it mostly was pineapple juice so I ordered a strawberry margarita after and that was pretty good. For food I started with the pretzels and they were delicious! Highly recommend! I then got the buffalo chicken sandwich with garlic parm fries as my side. The sandwich was nothing special, felt like it was missing something but the fries were pretty good! The night ended with a brownie dessert and it was pretty good. Overall if you're looking for a sports bar and not expecting too much Union Grill would be a good choice.

I'm not a huge sports bar fan but the service was friendly and capable and the food was solid. I had the fish and chips and when I asked for malt vinegar a server brought their oil and vinegar set. That was a little funny as it wasn't malt vinegar but I still enjoyed the fish and chips. The brownie was huge. It could have used more ice cream but I'm not sure it would have fit on the plate.

I had the Buddha Bowl with tofu and it was delicious. The sauce had great flavor and everything was cooked perfectly.They were busy, but the service was great. I'd love to see a vegan burger on the menu. I believe they had one in the past, but I didn't see it this time.

I was looking for a bar near a business I would be visiting, and this one was in the same shopping center. Reading their menu online, my family decided we would have an early dinner during their Happy Hour.The most impressive aspect of this business is their service. It seemed like we barely gave our drink order before our drinks were delivered. I have never had such quick drink service. Our food also came out quickly, and a nice touch was a little snack an employee brought just because we were first time customers. What a great way to welcome new customers!The reason they give such great service is that while you have your main server, if a drink or food item is ready, someone brings it to you right away. You can tell the employees work well together, and apparently like each other as well.The food was good, the specials were good, the atmosphere was good, but the service was outstanding! We look forward to our next visit, which will be soon.

We came in on a Monday night in Aug. so it wasn't too crowded. We were meeting friends there so there was only 4 of us.Our food was mediocre (pretty much bar food) but that was what we were looking for. What really ticked me off is that we were charged a 25% gratuity on our bill (we were only a party of 4!!!). I wouldn't have minded that if our server would have told us that the gratuity was already added to the bill, as I normally tip 25%+ IN CASH (and I did tip her in CASH). It wasn't untill I got home and realized that they has already add the gratuity to my bill so our server got a $65.00 tip for mediocre food and service. Word to management tell your servers to let the customer know that their tip is already INCLUDED!!!!!!! Will not be going back.

Nice, patient servers. Obnoxious and loud music. Flat beer. Management obviously wants their customers in and out quickly. Won't be coming back.
