Uncle Remus SFC - 47th Street

Food was cooked ar responsible time. My only concern with franchise is that they they're not all the same. I came to Chicago visiting my hometown from California. Drive all the way over to this location only to discover that they don't sell ribs. Please stop carrying the name of an9ther location if your menu isn't the same. Very disappointing. That's the reason for my 3 stars

Apparently, Harold's Chicken has a Westside rivalry with Uncle Remus, so being a South-Sider, I had to check it out.First time ordering takeout orders. Placed an order online and got a text when my order was ready. I ordered two tray meals (dark meat only), two orders of French fries, 6 rolls (split in 3's on the trays), two large coleslaws, and two slices of chocolate cake. The chicken was good and fried fresh, same for the French fries. Really liked the sides. It was a bit pricey for only two people, but we did enjoy the food and had leftovers. Customer service was nothing special, but I would order this once in a while and would recommend trying it out to others.As far as the rivalry goes, I think both chicken places are good, but Harold's Chicken is hard to beat.

Amazing services and chicken was fresh, hot, and good. I live out of state now, however everytime I come home, I have to come get me some chicken gizzards.

I had never been to Uncle Remus before because people had told me that it was too expensive. However a co-worker of mine had gotten food from there and it smelled delicious, so I decided to try it for myself. The restaurant was clean and the cashier was helpful and friendly. I am glad I don't listen to nay sayers when it comes to dining out, since I really enjoyed Uncle Remus. Worth a visit.

Poor Customer Service & Inedible food. On October 9th, I placed a Door dash order. The order received was incorrect & missing items. I ordered large Mashed Potatoes, received small. The Green Beans were burnt black like they were scraped out of the bottom of the pot. I did not receive the rolls. I called the restaurant. I was told by the very rude manager to come in, they don't deliver OR go on line, file a complaint somebody would get in touch. I said I was visiting from out of town (Texas) with no transportation. She said go to the website. I completed 2 complaints on the Uncle Remus website. No one has contacted me. I contacted Doordash for a refund of the missing & ruined items. The refund request was declined. I am very angry, disappointed & will not ever order here again. Not only was money lost but I didn't enjoy the meal. Two stars for the chicken & sauce.

Service was prompt and customer focused.I like their wings. I don't like the frozen section breaded shrimp. The sauce runs parallel to Harold's but you can't order in person. You must order ONLINE.Impressively, their door dash and Google pricing is the same as In store. There are text alerts and confirmations along the way.

Decided to try this restaurant on the recommendation of a friend while visiting Chicago and I'll say it was just ok. I tried the chicken with the mild sauce and a side of okra. The chicken it's was good seasoned and juicy. The sauce while mild has not kick to it at all it appeared to have some sweetness to it actually which wasn't bad just not what i was going for. I added some hot sauce to give it the kick i needed. So I'd say go for the hot sauce if you want to get a bit more spice. I decided to get a side of okra also but I wasn't a big fan of it as the breading was thick on it.

Location is very clean. Cashier is very polite. we drove from the west side of Chicago to come to this location and I was very pleased.

Best place to come to and get you something to eat there on the westside and south side and Atlanta, Georgia

One of the best chicken wings in the city ,,,I like the food the service is pretty fast for fast food restaurants
