Uncle John's Barbecue

I recently ordered from this establishment through Uber Eats with high hopes, but I was left disappointed. I hate to have to leave this review but it's an honest one. I paid $17 for a small tip priced at $13.55 (taxes included) and received mostly bones! They did include an extra slice of bread, but it didn't make up for the lack of actual BBQ. After a few small bites of rib tips, the very bottom of my order was all bones with sauce on them. The amount of BBQ you can get elsewhere for the same price will surprise you. I will not be returning.

When you are one of three establishments that Wikipedia says established "Chicagos Styled Barbecue" (known for the invention of the aquarium smoker and the prominence of rib tips and hot links) the food is good! When I buy a gallon of their sauce for use at my home -- YOU KNOW THE FOOD IS GOOD! Enough said! (Original Leon's and Lem's's round out the trilogy of MUST TRY barbecue houses on the south side of Chicago).

I got a lot of bones in my tips the last time I ordered.The service was good. A lot of people in and out .Get you a dat donut while u there.

This Ish is garbage. I ordered tips cut small, and sauce on the side! These MF's did what THEY wanted to. Tips not cut all, sauce hot! Tips cold Azz as ice. Never again! L= Loser

I love their Turkey Tips and Chicken wings the food is always hot and fresh... My only con is they give you very little fries with your order. Extra fries are 4$

That had to be the worse food ever...will not be going back...it was so dry...so not worth it

On the southside I expect excellence. This is Below average. Service was good. It's a counter. You order. You go. Go to Lems on 75th, it's much better. I never thought I would say this: northside bbq is far far better. It's true. I can say this because I work on the southside and live north. I go to all the spots. I'm adventurous. The rating is a negative 0, I drove 30 min away to get food. I get home open the second order to find a glove on top of my food. This is very insanitary and in disbelief because the gizzards was good. You guys have to do better this is not acceptable.

Fabulous food and service. I drive from Beverly but its worth it every time. The sauce is very tasty.

I went there about 2 weeks ago and I went in twice because someone tasted the rib tips that I had and asked if I'd go & get them some. Yes, they were edible and fresh enough... Finger licking good along with the 5legs & 8pc wings I had to share of course. #gys!
