Uncle Joey's Pizza & Grill

Highly recommend. Gourmet not greasy, yummy pizza and salad!! We ordered online for pick up and it was all awesome! Service was great. Salad portion size was big and great for the price. We had the chicken bacon ranch, buffalo chicken, veggie, and cheese pizzas and ate them all up and considered going back a second day!

Always looking for a good go-to pizza place, decided to give Uncle Joey's a try and zero complaints!The buffalo chicken pizza is amazing, the garlic knots are gooey deliciousness, and the chicken parm pizza was also awesome.Customer service was top notch and sincere when I went to pick up the pizzas. Don't sleep on Uncle Joey's!

We ordered Sandy's Pizza and it was delicious. It reminded me of NY pizza so if you like it oily, foldable, and flavorful- this spot may be for you! The sausage and jalapeño on Sandy's pizza were actually spicy and tasty- I notice these toppings are sometimes bland at other places but here you can actually taste the different ingredients coming together. I can't speak to the ambiance as we got delivery, but it was here by the estimated time

Tasty pizza! Stopped by with my two toddler for a quick dinner after Costco pizza closed. Uncle Joey have personal pizza that is perfect for 2 kids dinner/lunch , they loved it! I also ate one slice and u can say myself, it is a delicious pizza! Besides that the owner is great and so nice. Kid friendly space. Great place to check out if you love a good yummy pizza.

The pizza was delicious. I will definitely be back with friends. The cashier was super nice and recommend the BBQ Chicken pizza which was phenomenal. The guy Yousif gave us ranch without us even asking and the drinks were nice and cool out of the cooler. I can't wait to go back and try a different pizza. My daughter and her boyfriend got a meat lover which was good but the BBQ that Yousif recommended is a must try.

Pretty good pizza option with some interesting flavors. I was craving pizza and checked for places around me. Was immediately drawn to the vodka chicken option as I love a vodka sauce and have never had it on pizza. I ordered through door dash and got the 12 in. vodka chicken pizza which comes with vodka sauce, parmesan cheese, shredded mozzarella cheese, grilled chicken or breaded chicken, fresh basil, and ricotta cheese. I had chosen the grilled chicken. However upon pickup they told me they had run out of grilled chicken and had tried to contact me even though I never got a call or message. I do think it was a mix up on the door dash end but I was a little disappointed I wouldn't get what I had ordered.All that being said, the flavor of the pizza was good. Good amount of toppings too. The ricotta was a nice touch to add some lightness to the overall flavor. The fresh basil was perfect. I personally like a slightly thicker crust as they have in between a thin and normal crust dough.

Really yummy spinach ricotta pizza, pepperoni/sausage was also solid. Love that you can order smaller sizes for a cheaper price point so you can try different options. Boneless wings were okay- ranch was delicious! Like the thinner crust and although the Slice app is convenient, our first time was a miss- they made our pizza way too early and I had to reheat it in the oven, so time your order carefully. The staff did offer to remake them, but I didn't have time to wait around. 2nd time was flawless and pizzas were fresh and hot. Another win is that the sausage is smaller pieces- definitely my preference, as well as pepperoni cooked with a tad of crisp. Delish

I decided to try this pizza spot after reading several reviews about it. I got the 20'' spinach ricotta which was delicious and only $24. Not to mention someone had cancelled their phone order when I picked up mine and they gave me it for free. It was another pepperoni pizza which was amazing and I'd definitely recommended. The place was nice and clean and the man who helped me was also really nice. Definitely give it a try!

On the way back towards San Diego, I stopped by this new pizza shop in La Mesa specifically for one reason. I have been trying to find an under the radar place that serves a good Philly Cheesesteak sandwich. Several pizzerias have this item on the menu including Uncle Joey's Pizza & Grill. There were no customers when I walked into the suite which was in the Mesa Plaza. The owner was outside in the parking lot chatting on the phone, but he quickly finished his conversation and followed me inside.Large menu screens were hanging above the service counter. The specialty sandwiches, calzones, and salads were listed on the center screen with pizzas on the left screen and chicken wings, sides, and special deals on the right screen. Three types of Philly Cheesesteaks were available. I chose the Original Philly with provolone cheese as opposed to American cheese. Sliced steak and grilled onions were packed into the bun with the cheese. A side of crinkle-cut french fries came with the order which was placed in a cardboard takeout box.When I took the sandwich out to eat, it was already cut in half which was fine. The size and amount of meat and cheese were ordinary. I have been spoiled by Philly Cheesesteaks with loaded amounts of ribeye steak and cheese that spill over the top of the bread. That is my standard for a four or five-star rated sandwich of this type. The version at Uncle Joey's Pizza & Grill didn't reach this level which was why I rated my experience the way I did.

Finally found my go-to pizza spot! The pizza was delicious, along with a fun soda selection, and incredible ranch. They have incredible deals that I don't see often in San Diego. The service was top tier. Joseph made nice conversation with my fiancée and I while we waited for our pizza. The place was small, but very clean. I will definitely be returning.
