Uncle Bud's

I live in Washington state and travel a lot. Where I live we don't have fried catfish so on my work trip I got my fix! This place has an awesome throwback style feel on the outside, and is even more homey on the inside.There was a decent crowd (it was all-you-can-eat) day but since I was alone I was seated quickly.They immediately bring a heaping bowl of beans and white beans, which are accompanied by delicious hush puppies. The fried catfish was seasoned, crispy, and flavorful.Highly recommend! If you know you know. If you don't, get your ass to Uncle Bud's and eat!

It was my 1st time here but definitely will be my Last!The second we got seated, a few plates of pickles, cabbage slaw etc they called "Fixings" were placed on the table and we were told it's unlimited (concept similar to Olive Garden's bread sticks or Korean banchan) although cool I wasn't interested in eating it.The type of food served here is not my usual cup of tea (Catfish is not Kosher) and likewise my child wasn't interested in it either. We decided to share an entree. The server said she'd have to charge my child and I, a $9.95 fee each for sharing the Fixings (that I didn't want) and The Mgr explained that was the policy of the owners and there was nothing she could do about it. Well, I will never be back.

Great southern hospitality and atmosphere, unique menu and style lots of sides the southern fried steak was excellent, my co worker had the jambalaya which she really enjoyed and the service was excellent!

Lovely experience. I dined with my older father so we arrived before the dinner rush. I remember going here when I was a child years ago. We didn't even know there was an open location nowadays. This type of food is getting harder and harder to find in the Nashville area. Slaw, beans, pickles and hush puppies are served with every meal. Most diners choose between a large portion of catfish or chicken but the menu holds other offerings not found elsewhere, like gator tail. There's a large private parking lot. Old school flair decor makes me feel nostalgic. Our waiter was polite and accommodating.

Service was slow. I sat at my table for 20 minutes before anyone even interacted with me. Another 10 waiting for my drink. The gator bites were really small pieces, frog legs were over cooked but the biggest issue I had was what they are famous for and that's the catfish. The outer crust was way over salty. Couldn't hardly eat it without scraping the coating off.

Good tasty cajun fare. They bring fixins out family style then you get your meal. The biscuits were great, Cole slaw and beans played. Chicken was good especially with the Louisiana hot sauce. Would eat there again for sure.

Glad we found this casual country place. Lots of town folks there for a great deal on fried fish or chicken with all-you-can-eat fixins. We loved especially the jumbo, crispy hush puppies, the giant tea in mason jars and the garlic pickles. Nice, friendly service. We split a catfish and shrimp dish and paid a $10 Hilltopia Road up charge. Plenty of food for both of us.

Worth the hype for sure! Got the catfish and shrimp combo. Everything well lived up to the reputation of a true Southern eatery!

Do not visit this restaurant. We waited almost an hour to sit and then took 15 minutes for a server to come over. The restaurant reminds me of an old mom and pop shop that threw temporary tables and chairs in this 50 year old restaurant. It's absolutely disgusting!

We came here yesterday bc I wanted some catfish and my bf wanted some fried oysters. We haven't came here in 2 years but I remember it being really good. Food didn't take long to come out and we realized their portions were smaller than before. I ordered catfish and fried shrimp. I didn't even finish my food because there was that oily after taste and it just didn't sit right with my taste buds. It was like the oil was old or hasn't been changed out; or maybe they didn't drain the oil off the shrimp and catfish. The oil just coated the shrimp and catfish. My boyfriend was upset about how small his portion was. We paid about $70ish dollars and it wasn't even worth it to me. However Cherish, I believe that's her name, she was such a great server and so friendly!
