Umi's Japanese Steak House

I went to this area with my kids during lunch. Raining day and we hungry. We sat at Hibachi table. The server wasn't good enough. Slow. And give me the plates for me to pass it off. And we have to called him for order. Need improvement.The hibachi chef was good. The eggs juggle was fun. Kids loved it. We ordered sushi. That the best sushi ever for me! So good. And also I ordered some fried rice to go. Tasty. I can tell the chef seasoning the food right. The ambiance was nice, the place is cozy and people are nice. Recommended.

I always enjoy the sushi here. Never used the hibachi side. It's my weekly go to and is reasonably priced for what and where it is. Sushi chef, Dat, is awesome and co tinuess to do a good job.

Excellent experience. It was my granddaughter's 10th birthday and she had never been to a Hibachi type restaurant. The restaurant was clean and the initial greeting was warm and inviting. Our server was attentive and quick with our drinks. We had sushi for starters, which were fresh and delicious. Also the cost was wonderful. Once the table was filled with other diners the chef presented himself. Since we had the birthday girl, he made her feel special. She was overly surprised. We were engaged as he prepared the food. The servings were large, fresh and delicious. Plenty to take home! Will visit this location again although not in my immediate location.

It was okay. While it's note Benihana's the food was overall good. Garlic makes everything delicious and their garlic butter was weak! The entrees comes with soup and salad. The soup was okay. I was surprised by the noodles in it!! Service was good. We were the only ones in there!!! The space could use some TLC and some upgrading in the decor. It an okay space for hibachi on the south side.

Tonight I came in here with my 2 younger kids. We were seated at the booth by the door; in which the table was extremely sticky! Please use some other cleaner, the table felt and look terrible. Viona was our server. She was kind and polite. Food was less than mediocre. Salad was horrible and so was their miso soup or I thought it was. It had macaroni in it. Never in my life have I ever had pasta in my miso soup! It tastes like ramen noodles versus miso soup. Vibe was off. But I like to give restaurants the benefit of the doubt. I would have tipped our server more if they hadn't put an automatic 15% gratuity on our bill for 1 adult and 2 toddlers. Now I felt like they took it from me. So I kept it as is and just paid the bill. I wouldn't come back!

Always good food & vibes! Recently visited with family & friends for my birthday dinner and we were accommodated (17 of us). All did hibachi and enjoyed it.I was even able to cut my cake and let the guest enjoy it without any issues from the restaurant staff.

Roughly around 5-6 years ago, this used to be my go-to spot for great sushi and good vibes. As of last year I believe they did some renovations. The renovations look amazing changing up the interior design and expanding the restaurant. I went in on a Tuesday night, because I was craving some good hibachi. I choose to get the food to-go and you order the to-go at the bar. I think they should designate another place simply because once the bar gets full, the person's to-go order may go to the wait side. I got the steak dinner which included miso soup and a salad. I got an appetizer which was the calamari roll which was really good.The salad which was just lettuce was good, the main course wasn't good at all. I asked for medium well and got well done and the meat was tough. There was hardly any broccoli in the vegetable just carrot and zucchini which I am not the biggest fan of. The rice was a little salty and the two shrimp I did receive was hard. Overall I think this is still a nice restaurant they just missed the mark.

Absolutely terrible. I ordered food to go they told me it would be ready in 15 minutes. Over an hour later it still wasn't ready. I asked to speak to the manager to receive a refund but they kept telling me they couldn't find the manager. Then when the food was brought out, they only made half my meal, and never even put in the rest. At this point I just took my sushi and left, once I got home with my sushi I found it wasn't even cut, as well as mostly just a solid brick of rice. The eel sauce was missing from both rolls also. Worst experience I've ever had here and I won't be returning.

Teriyaki Six Piece Teriyaki Chicken Wings:: I expected wings, not broken bone fragments

Terrible.... Just ordered some Shrimp fried rice .. for a quick lunch, zero flavor it's like he throw some old rice soy sauce and 5 shrimp together and brought it, no scallions, eggs, nothing just rice, I was so hungry I just paid for it and left didn't take 3 bites! They did offer to remake but I didn't feel it would be any different
